Great reaction, thanks! "Light and Darkness" is way outside my alley musically and I needed some extra listens until the song grew on me. And it was probably thanks to Su-metal's amazing vocals. Su's voice is extraordinary. Her vocals are unique and frankly I'm captivated every time I hear her sing. She has always been an incredible singer but the qualities maturity have brought to her singing just blow my mind.

Great reaction! Su’s vocals are always S-Tier. While the song may be constructed, Su and the girls do have a lot of freedom in interpretation on how they want to present it. Also, I must agree, favorite Babymetal song is the current one I’m listening to 😆. To me, this song represents the struggle of a toxic love, constantly pulling and pushing at each other. While protagonist at times wants it to end, they are constantly pulled back in (Moa’s “Let me out” vs Su’s “This love is strong, I’ll never let go”). This is another reason I love Babymetal, meanings are purposely vague so listener are free to interpret and enjoy the song in their own way. On Momo: while she was made official in April, the 4th album was completed before, hence she didn’t have any lines specific to her. Also, this video was in Jan so Momo didn’t have a mic yet/not official yet. Momo’s first song was their newest single, Metali, where she got a pretty big part. I assume she (and Moa) will be featured heavier in upcoming songs now that Babymetal is “whole” again. Another suggestion: *Amore (Wembley 2016)* . In my opinion, their best “love ballad”. It’s a Su-metal solo, with beautiful vocals, but intense drive. You’ll need to use “Babymetal Reactors Resource” channel for copy right gods. 🤘🦊

Welcome back to BabyMetal's metalverse 🦊🤘🌐 Love the J-pop sound from 2000 and the nostalgic vibes mixed with the edm sound, SuMetal got that emotional effect in all of us, she also said this was one of the hardest song to record in the studio. Here's some info about this song: _One of the discovered 10 parallel worlds is "LIGHT AND DARKNESS" and this 4th pre-release digital single “Light and Darkness” centers around this theme. Because light exists, darkness also exists._ _And because darkness is present, there is also a world that shines._ _During the night when light and darkness intersect, what we seek after poisoned with darkness awaits a world filled with strong love. As the door opens, is it hope or despair that awaits us? The song expresses the duality in everything and the way things are perceived and interpreted differ depending on each person’s point of view._ The world premiere was at Makuhari Messe 2023 along with "THE LEGEND". They released an official MV but with album studio sound, also a DVD/BD with the full concert of "BabyMetal Returns - The Other One" which includes this song along with more special versions. They performed this once again at BM Begins TOO, PIA Arena MM, Yokohama in April now with MomoMetal as an official member which is the live version with the extended intro you just saw, either way it got some editing bc it's heavily blocked to upload the original clip. So far they didn't performed this outside of Japan, so this year we'll be looking for a new headlining show with this song in the setlist once again. Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 As you know, "Difference" and "Diversity" is another name of BABYMETAL. This new song performed 3 times at two arenas in Japan last year . (twice by Eastern Kami Band and once by Western Kamis. This performance by the Western. I appreciate the devoted support by Chris, CJ, Anthony and Clint). High and low undulation of Su's voice with maturity and sharp moves by Moa and Momoko brought about various emotions 😱. As you said, on April 2 in Yokohama, the new trio with official 3rd girl, Momometal, performed this song. The new era has begun and I was honored to be one of the part of the audience that memorial day 😍

Another great reaction to BabyMetal 😁 i love the build-up to this song, which makes me emotional before Su even starts singing . The different tones in Su's vocals just show what a talent she has she is what drew me to BabyMetal, and everything else was icing on the cake . The whole performance is beautifully done . Got the Blu-rays of the two shows. When i watched it, it was that good it went so quickly . Just like being at one of their shows For real 😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼

I can see in your genuine facial expressions and smiles that you "get" Babymetal. You "feel" it. How it feels so good inside. Su's voice just fills you with warmth, doesn't it? Anyway... What I called here to say is, yes, the backup dancers have their own music. Or rather, they did during the Yui era. The early years. Moa and Yui were collectively known as BLACK BABYMETAL and had four songs. Onidari Daisakusen and 4 No Uta from the first album release. Sis Anger and GJ! from the second album Metal Resistance. The songs from the first album are very childish lyrically but very NüMetal with a surprise mix of genres. The songs on the second album are more mature lyrically and harder musically. They each also did their own solos in the Legend 1999 concert Chokotto Love (Yui) and Love Machine (Moa). Plus doing their own versions of Headbanger for their 15th birthdays in France and Germany (only fan cam available). Fans are hoping for new Black Babymetal songs with MomoMetal in the future.

This song seems to me like it could be from one those fabulous musicals of the '50's writen by Lerner and Loewe or Rogers and Hammerstein. Since you seem to be interested in "meanings", you should definately ck out Andrew Hartley's (Professor BabyMetal) channel. He always has an interesting take, which can sometimes take you down a lane you hadn't thought of. Helpful since many BM songs have multible meanings, layers of an onion, if you will. A great example is BM's masterpiece From Dusk Til Dawn. Although in English, there is still some debate among us BM nerds as to exactly is being said and what it means. BabyMetal is the "gift that keeps on giving".

As someone who's been a fan since 2014, check Su-metal's Akatsuki 2021 Budokan performance. It's perfection. Her mature voice, refined stage presence, the light show and audio mixing are out of this world. Many fans are nostalgic for her performance of that song in 2014, and while outstanding, current day Su-metal is leagues above her former self.

Thanks for another video HokkyoMetal! 😁 Like you mentioned, this song is a huge Sumetal powerful performance. I prefer their heavy songs but always enjoy their live showing of anything! They always leave everything on the stage and give us their all, you can see Su truly sings with all her heart and soul for us. Su is always powerful with her vocals, but if you want to hear/see some other big Su songs, here are a couple....... -Rhondo of Nightmare -Akatsuki -Shine(I recommend you watch Shine as the Trilogy of Lights performance.......1. Starlight, 2. Shine, 3. Arkadia (its own reaction video) -Amore You also asked about Moa and Yui singing more? These are called Black Babymetal songs from back before Yui left, these are....... -GJ -Sis Anger -Onedari Daisakusen -4 No Uta I really like GJ, Sis Anger is pretty good also, the other 2 I'm not big on but certainly worth seeing live! I'd also like to throw out one other recommendation being you are really enjoying learning about BM, their history and lore even. I video made by "Cryptic Misery" was really well done called "An Unhelpful Guide to Babymetal". I suggest watching the longer version, it's more in depth. Up to you if you do it as a reaction video, I'd watch you watching it! 😁🦊🤘

Suggest them over any Official Babymetal release as they are usually without intros and rarely include crowd interactions nearly as much. As you know from other commenters, yes Yui and Moa did have solo songs where Su got to take a break and they got to take the lead. However, there is another song I'd highly recommend that I think you might enjoy as well. Firstly, I would recommend checking out Babymetal's song, Headbanger. Then after that you' should check out Moabanger. Moabanger was done during Moa's birthday and and as a result she takes the lead. Literally.

Even though it's a lighter song this has become one of my favourites, the composition is just insane. Many of the long notes on vocals are surprisingly dissonant, basically none of the parts in the song repeat without significant changes, and the rhythm changes are extremely jarring intentionally. Even after listening to it many times it can catch me off guard with an odd transition. Also yeah I entirely agree about how good she sounds, su's voice is genuinely the only one that can give me such an emotional reaction despite barely utilizing any grit or scream kind of techniques. Just her tone and the way she projects her voice sounds so steady and heavy, it feels like pressure being put on my entire body when she holds long notes.

Yes, Moa and Yui performed 4 songs in which Su was absent. The two girls were called Black Babymetal, look for their songs (in 2021 Moa sang two of these four songs alone). And there are 4 songs in which Su sings in solo, which are (obviously) fantastic. Look for Rondo of Nightmare (with kami band intro) or Akatsuki (black night).

Nice reaction and yes, Babymetal is the most diverse band there is and will surprise you every single time 😂 This song is from their latest album “The Other One” which was released in 2023. The performance was from April last year at PIA arena. I think song interpretations are always up to the listener but this one might be about two opposite sides still finding similarities and can’t exist without each other. There are 4 songs that were performed by Moa and Yui without Su. The due was called Black Babymetal and the songs are “4 no uta”, “GJ”, “Sis anger”, and “Onedari Daisakusen”. The same way Su has 4 solo songs that she performs without Moa and Momo (previously Yui) to give them a break. See you! 🤘🔥🦊

Yes I think everyone will have different opinions and I like to see what everyone thinks. Seeing the performance 2 times, it gets hard to interpret the meaning of a song well.
