I must say they couldn't have sung a more fitting song than 'Meta Taro', it fits in Momometal's wheelhouse, her singing vocals are spot on and her growls are distinct but amazing, her vocal abilities fit this song perfectly. I would love for them to perform this song more, it is a joy to listen to it, and it's a powerful piece of music that swells your heart and gives you strength and positivity, I love it. Kitsunes up everyone, Momometal singing 'Meta Taro' was the icing on the cake, and I'm so happy to hear it.🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊

There has been discussion about Su-metal's vocals, and now I have the blue-ray of the Legend-MM concert an a very good sound system I can give more information of what has happened. This song was the second to last song of a 2 day concert. The first day, the sound balance of the Su-Metal sound channel was a bit low, which was a shame, the band balance, and particular the drums swamped a lot of the sound stage. The backing vocal levels were fine, clear and normal level (the head mics) On the second day they were clearly increasing the channel volume of Su-metal's vocals, but as the concert went on there was increasing distortion. Momo's vocals at the start of the song were fine and clear and not distorted. During this song (and the last one - Arcadia), the amplification on this channel really began to fail and there was progressively more and more distortion. During the end "we-are - babymetal" because it was Momo's birthday, they all used Su-metal's mic (with Moa holding on tight ;) and you could hear distortion in all their voices. Unfortunate - but sound engineers nightmare.

Yes I am aware of the Momotaro fairy tale. Babymetal's ability to use folklore and puns within their stories is beyond outstanding. Though I doubt if it was a coincidence, nothing within their lore is placed on such so far. :D

I’m a pretty new fan, so some of their older songs haven’t had the chance to grow on me like their newer stuff, which I think is a good thing because BM is very forward thinking and I would rather be more up to speed with their current iteration. When it came to Meta Taro I always thought the crowd interaction moment during Tokyo Dome was pretty chilling but outside that I was never a huge fan of the song. But Momo sold it for me with this performance. Also I always love hearing Su’s vocals when they kick in at the beginning. She has a powerful, deeper, voice when contrast against the more “kawaii” sound of MoiMoi/Momo. So it always just has this impact to it. It’s also cool seeing/hearing Momo’s growls be used in place of the usual backtracked ones we had before. I hope they use her growls in place of the older ones for future performances. Will see. Thanks for the upload! I was hoping to have a version of this song with the intro included for my playlist.

The last that springs to mind is the Dark Night Carnival in 2018, with Darth Vader and Joakim Broden coming out on stage haha, but either way feels like forever. Great to hear a new version of it, as you say!

Dark Night Carnival was the last time it was proshot but they performed it at all three Australian shows in 2018, the last one being Brisbane on Dec 9th.

Bear in mind, this is from the official DVD recording. It's normal for companies to "iron out" the vocals a little. However, it may just be that the audio editors decided to lay the recorded track (as in the one that plays as the main vocal in their IEM's) over the live audio

@@anya_sedyaBest guess is they had the backer track running as well. When her voice doubles up like that it has a tendency to sound a little more robotic. They don’t do it for many songs anymore and they did it on the studio version so maybe they were looking for that sound. Kinda like how they doubled Moa’s voice for the last 2 albums to maintain the illusion of 3

Only you should be listening to this. Because in fact, I think this time her voice is practically intact, without much change. I say this after watching it countless times over both nights. You can see that her voice is shakier than normal when singing, which to me is really cute. Amuse likes to polish her voice a lot, which I don't think is cool.

@@BabymetalDesuBrazil Yeah, I noticed that too. She sounded normal the two nights but Meta Taro sounded a little "new?" to me, so I asked. I'm often very curious about these tiny details :D like for example you can hear "tatataro, tatataro, tatatatatatatatataro, tatataro" in Meta Taro, which I've never heard before and I think it's a cute detail :D
