Nice one, thanks! That guy is Joakim Brodén, the lead vocalist, keyboardist and sometimes third guitarist of the Swedish band Sabaton. A lot of people from different countries and cultures claimed this folk song as own: Irish, Scandinavian, Polish, Russian (and probably more)... and all of them are probably right. 😊 This is Su-metal's favorite song from their third album, Metal Galaxy. And you can tell why seeing how much fun she has while performing it. 🤘🦊

The male vocalist is Joakim Brodén, singer of Swedish metal band Sabaton, who Babymetal have toured with in Europe in the last couple of years.

Haha, great reaction. Yes this is a fun one and they very clearly love dancing to it (they were laughing that Moa can dance faster backwards than she can forwards). Yes all of those possible cultural influences you mentioned are probably right and maybe a few more. The melody is from a Finnish polka apparently, the dance seems to have Russian or East European influences, maybe some Irish or Gaelic thrown in for good measure. Guest vocalist is Joakim Broden, lead singer with Swedish metal band Sabaton. He recorded his vocals for this when Sabaton were opening for BABYMETAL in Japan in 2018. Sadly when BABYMETAL joined Sabaton for their European tour in 2023 they didn't play this live together.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。I witnessed this very performance at Budokan 😍. Yes "O・Majinai" is the same word used in Band-Maid Miku's "Omajinai Time" 🤣 BABYMETL is the one and only band who can employ Joakim, the famous muscular metal singer, as a comical character in a playful song. After the world premiere of this song on Jan. 25, 2020 (I was there !), Su and Moa complained jokingly that every audience did not see the girls dancing on the stage but watched gigantic Joakim on the backdrop 😄 . "Oh! Majinai" has dual meanings. Japanese word "omajinai" simply means a good luck charm or magical spell. But if you separate the word into two parts you will find different meaning. "Maji nai" means "seriously impossible" or "absolutely no", the phrase used by young people. This song is a little bit controversial. Many European fans are claiming the origin of this song. Irish, Russian, Swedish, Polish, Czech and Finnish. From a neutral position as a Japanese, I can say this is Europe-ish 🤔 .

As for the elements of this song and the guest vocalist, that is right as the comments in the comment section below. BM's songs are diverse as it crosses metal genres. So I think it is natural that it sounds different from ‘Ratatata’, but if I had to pick a common point, it would be that 'it is fun.' It is one of Su-'s favorite songs. Thank you from Japan.

Nice reaction. Babymetal blended the genred so much no one seems sure what genre this is blended with. And Babymetal gets to show how not only is their music blended but so is their dancing. When you want to enjoy life, Babymetal it. The song is about them going a boat ride and party so much they get lost. So they conjure a witch who helps them fond their way. And they go right back to partying. 😂😂. Kawaii metal they are and I hope always will be. Momoko was the best pick for a new member. She is having a. Blast. And Su and Moa seem even more energized.

Well done on blowing past 7k! It is a fun song, i know what you mean about Ratatata its a song you'd have on the playlist for a party. If you want to see them having fun together you want to see some of the clips on social media of the US tour they are doing, they are having a total blast

Nice reaction as always. One of their various collaborations this time with Joakim Brodén of Sabaton. For another cultural switch watch Shanti Shanti Shanti which while not a collab is a lot of fun and has some vocal gymnastics from Su. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nYLReJKKbNCVqrs
