It _IS_ an awesome opening for a concert...and it just kept getting better and better. The whole theatrics of the show are amazing. I downloaded both the 1997 and 1999 Legends concerts and have to say that they pulled out all the stops for those shows.

Neck brace for headbanging. They are pay tribute to the drummer from band X-Japan. Look him up, he is like a national treasure.

The neckbraces are something introduced in the music video for Headbangeeeer! So it is often part of their mythology. They sometimes give them out to the audience in their concerts in Japan and in the Tokyo Dome concerts for example they had lights in them that lit up at a particular moment, showing the entire audience lit up.

This is a remix of their normal Headbanger song. Normally you'd watch the Headbanger Music video first to understand a little bit more about the neck brace. Not that it really explains anything. :-) But it was a cool reaction. This is the same concert where their popular Gimme Choco video was shot. It was the first time it was performed. The closer is the really crazy stuff. The story is: she is reborn as a goddess. The one I would suggest is the song before the closer: Akatsuki unfinished. Just Su-Metal singing over piano.

+autohmae I'm partial to the Budokan Akatsuki performances, but there's a lot to be said for the "all the feels" version from Legend 1997.

The neck brace in the story they have is the legendary neck brace handed down by the metal god and whoever possesses it will give her life to be reborn as the metal goddess now watch the end of the concert which is death legend 97 there you see

Their concerts are usually just over an hour long. They would collapse if they went any longer. Su was born in 1997, the legend was born. They also had Legend 1999 concerts for Moa and Yui's birthdays.

Actually, in recent years, their concerts have grown to 80-90 minutes long nowadays.

Except at the Carolina rebellion where their show was limited to only 27 minutes! LOL (I was there and I wished it would have lasted for days!)

most big act concerts play for about 1hr and 45 mins. average.. some a little longer some a little shorter. babymetal last about 1 1/2. hrs. on support they play for about 35 mins.

you should check out the real headbanger, this is a weird remix. I didn't like this one, I hope they never do anything like this again with "dj noises" instead of real music, I hope they keep it real with a real band with real instruments.
