BABYMETAL - THE ONE Reaction

Good reaction. 'The One' was the last song on the second album in 2016. The Japanese edition of the album has this half and half English-Japanese version, the international edition had the full English version that the girls had challenged themselves to learn as a mark of respect and appreciation to the foreign fans who they noticed had been learning Japanese to sing along with them as they toured the world. 'The ONE' is effectively their love letter to the fans (who they also named "THE ONE"). The First Take is an "unfinished" version ie it is stripped back with piano and strings only (also it is very much shortened having just the first verse). They also do a version where it starts out acoustic or "unfinished" but the drums and guitar etc kick in about half way through. Legend S is possibly the best unfinished start going into the full version, Tokyo Dome had the extended full English version, Stairway to Living Legend probably the most emotional 'unfinished' version (a longer version of what was on The First Take).

The music is only one half of the BABYMETAL experience, the other half is their choreography. I believe they are considered a "Metal Dance Unit" backed by the Kami Band for live shows. They are absolutely amazing live and I will be seeing them in person for the first time next Friday! I can't see the reaction to The One on the First Take on your channel yet, I hope it's not blocked by KZbin. "The One" is the name of the fan base + BABYMETAL, together we are the one.

Hey man welcome back, i think you're mixing the songs, you pointed out to Monochrome as the Unfinished Version and that was a "Piano Version" and obviously isn't this song. Maybe you're referring to "The One - Unfinished Version" at TFT but i don't see you did that reaction maybe it was blocked, recently they've been releasing some of those blocked reactions. This one is the original version album studio sound with footage taken from live at Yokohama Arena 2015 part of the Trilogy Of 2015 series of concerts. But TFT took the first part of another version called "The One - Stairway To Living Legend" released in October 2021 as part of the moment when they sealed the group going on hiatus, that's the full version and TFT got the Unfinished Version. Anyway this song is full of meaning for everyone since is dedicated to all of us their fans, we're called The One, forever. Thanks for sharing this and see you next time 🦊🤘🔥
