Good first reaction. This is such a good collaboration, but of course it is - Electric Callboy (they are from Germany and formed around the same time at BABYMETAL in 2010) are great fun and BABYMETAL are so versatile that they can collaborate with pretty much anybody and they will fit in with their style and they make it look and sound almost effortless ... it takes a lot of hard work, talent and professionalism to make it look so easy. BABYMETAL were wanting to make a song people could dance along with like Electric Callboy's 'We Got The Moves' but they felt something was missing. They decided to ask EC if they would like to be involved so they went to see EC playing in Boston (they were both there at the same time last year) and met up backstage with them before the show. 'RATATATA' was the result. After a lot of back and forth and over 20 rewrites and variations etc they finally agreed on this final version. It is very much in the EC style, but make no mistake - it is a real 50-50 collaboration. They have been having even more fun performing it live together at festivals they were both playing - twice at FOX_FEST in Japan during BABYMETAL's sets, then in both band's sets at Rock im Park and Rock am Ring in Germany and at Resurrection Fest in Spain. Both bands have also been performing it by themselves (with the other on track) in their own concerts and at festivals where only one of the bands was there. There are live videos (including the official live from FOX_FEST and RC have a remastered live from Rock am Ring on their channel). BABYMETAL will be playing with SlipKnot in South America and Mexico before they continue their own tour in the USA. There is no other band quite like BABYMETAL. They do things no other bands do (dor example they introduced interpretive choreographed dance to metal - but the main purpose is to include and lead the crowd so everybody gets involved. They have about 70 songs now, each different to the last. They have songs in virtually every metal genre but they will also mix and blend so many more musical styles and genres with the metal. Legend 1997 was lead singer Su-metal's 16th birthday concert in December 2013 - she was born in 1997.
