Batter Up is more than just a song. You need to also understand that YG is also a rapper and song writer himself. Batter Up is actually entirely a rap song message to Blackpink girls about contract negotiations. The message says, sign your bloody contracts or watch your highly trained, super charged incredibly talented replacements take this opportunity to shine with or without you. There are many Blackpink references or samples throughout this song. Money sample just says, watch 6 genius BM dancers dance to Money and compare that to one Genius dancer Lisa. Rami sings, got a lot to say, Big mistake and toss the telephone is a reference to Rose' Gone. Batter Up in baseball means next Batter to bat. I am just so amazed at how they were able to pull off a hiphop genre considering their ages. Even older ones would look just trying hard and cringy but baby monster killed this on. Their facial expressions are on point. They got that perfect swag and coolness and above all they got great vocals and raps delivery. Can't imagine any otheir 4thgen/5th gen gg group that can be on this level talent and skills.

скажу честно, ожидал от их дебютного трека большего. да, картинка красивая, деньги были вложены хорошие, но хотелось чего-то интереснее, для меня будто бы не хватило чего-то. похоже просто на стандартный трек 4 поколения. те же X:IN и Young Posse больше удивили в качестве новичков.
