I watched a few other girl groups like Twice, Red Velvet etc, but I couldn't get into their vibes. I have only stan BP (and Sohyang) and I thought I won't stan another group. Now, I am so excited about Baby Monster. I have watched all episodes of the selection of NiziU and their talents are nowhere near Baby Monster - a far cry.

Each episode makes you notice how hard their all working. Hope they make it through. How is Chiquita so good at singing!!! And Ahyeon’s runs were the highlight of her section. I was so proud of her. Ruka is increasing in confidence and anyone I haven’t mentioned is doing so well that I have nothing to say❤ The way they support each other before the performance is really adorable. Whether it’s with English, lyrical explanations, Korean, dance moves, etc. they’re building their team work without noticing it. Only thing I noticed is that they could be more creative in the way they interpret each song. Pharitas sounded similar to rose and suited “Gone” but Ahyeon sung it slightly differently which made it more of a creative performance in my eyes 😊

Pharita gave me goosebumps, but regardless all the girls were awesome, the cover was great. Now we wait for episode 3, which we will all watch. Now we have to be on edge of our seats to wait for Lisa's critiques. Damn, YG has us hooked and its working. Can't wait for next episode!!!

In all honesty, how would you sing Gone? I bet most would sing emulating Rose just like Pharita. It is the easiest and most natural course of action. Ahyeon intentionally lower her larynx and sings in a different tone and that is more difficult. I could see the purpose of her doing that, and that is to give a new feel to the song, and also to harmonise beautifully with Pharita's voice. Moreover, Ahyeon had to sing the "Gone on on on on" part which even Rose doesn't sing in any of her live performances. Do note that Pharita not singing the "Gone on on on on" is good for her and not really for the group. Choice37 knew that they are all evaluated separately. It will only affect Pharita evaluation if she did not performed up to par. 3 beautiful girls ❤

It is not acceptable that YG is running this campaign in a way to manipulate people's emotions. This is the kind of thing in kpop that causes stress to spike in the performers, in this case mostly children. YG made their final decisions on the composition of the group before they ever released the intro videos. Up until the "Final evaluation" series they won millions of hearts (like mine). YG and the team he assembled have done a wonderful job in finding these girls and leading them as they develop their skills. Instead of doing a behind the scenes documentary to show the process, yg chose to artificially create a drama. It's shameful and unnecessary. A documentary like that would be so fascinating, this road just treats artists as commodities to be used and discarded. Creating ugliness in the potential beauty.
