I thought Rora stole the show on this one, but when they did it on M Countdown Ruka DESTROYED. It was like she saw comments about the others and said, "Hold my beer". the concert performances so far Rami and Ahyeon absolutely brought it.

Ruka especially comes alive on stage. She's always good. But she's at her very best when she's on a stage in front of a live audience.

I must add, why do so many reactors completely overlook mentioning Rora? It’s almost a cliche! In fact, when Rora has the spotlight as she did here twice, the reactors predictably comment of how good “they all are”! Do they forget her name? Anyway, these young ladies are all beyond incredible 👍

Even YG overlooked Rora and Asa but it’s clear Rora is one of the least popular members but that has nothing to do with them tbh. It’s just the way groups work. Always most popular and least popular members

Rora was on fire in this. (I also loved her outfit (in the black) the most...especially without the jacket. So classy!) I have a feeling she'll be getting more spotlight in the upcoming album. In some ways it may be because she's already so excellent at everything that people aren't surprised to see her...being excellent. She's super cute, but also always adds so much elegance to everything. What would "Sheesh" be without that opening scene by Rora? Or the beautiful bridge with Rami toward the end?

It's a group obviously other will outshine other early and won't have balance in fandom. They are doing mostly pop and shiny things with their vocals and Rora doesn't fit it well, Rora shines in slow ballet songs..like SITM. Group need some time and when they become more versatile other will pick up their phase and the upcoming single looks like RORA moment as she was centre there. So, just chill and let them cook.

Silly comment about Batter Up. You must be deaf. Clearly YG knows what is needed for Baby Monster. Batter Up has just smashed the fastest 261 million views in kpop debut history ever. Batter Up smashed the most views in 24 hours and smashed the fastest 100 million and 200 million in kpop debut history ever.

I guess it's a matter of personal preference for a lot of people. But there's no doubt that Batter Up has been very successful. In their live concerts (technically "fan meetings") it's becoming obvious that Batter Up is a perfect hype song for concert performances. Audiences love singing along with the chorus, the beat is great, and really all of the parts of the song make it easy for the audience to get involved. It reminds me of Queen's "We Will Rock You" song. The members of Queen actually said at one point that the song was written with audience participation in mind. I think it's the same with Batter Up.

Great Reaction TheReelTimes! Two things that need to be clarified! One is Charlie Puth gave a song of his that had been already performed by him! He didn’t write for BABYMONSTER but a token of his appreciation for Ahyeon’s cover of his song! Technically Batter Up and Stuck In The Middle are officially Pre-Release Singles/ Music Videos for their mini-Album! SHEESH is their official debut Song/ Music Video per BABYMONSTERS request to YG! And Like That isn’t a K-pop song but BABYMONSTER has gotten so much positive attention for it that M Countdown asked them to perform it for all the fans to enjoy in South Korea! They performed it on June the 13th. Y’all need to react to it because the fans went crazy! They changed the choreo slightly for the Exclusive Performance Video, The Dance Performance Video and M Countdown! SHEESH!!🤘🙏🏻

Thanks for the fun reaction! They all performed so well and proved that they can do great in any genre. I especially want to give flowers to Rami...not just for her main parts but also for all of the fantastic ad-libs that she did throughout the song (along with Ahyeon who also contributed some). Like from 3:45 (in this video) pretty much all of the high ad-libs (except for the final "where you need to be") are Rami. It's fun to watch their live performances and see how often you can spot Rami in the back lifting her mic to add harmonies and ad-libs.

It is speculated by k-netizens that the "lackluster" debut was done on purpose. This is because Ahyeon was on hiatus and the pressure was on from fans & shareholders to release something, due to YG stating that Babymonster would debut in Q4 2023 and Blackpink was still negotiating their contracts with YGE. In addition, Babymonster did no promotions for any of their songs prior to the release of "Sheesh", which is now being considered their "real" debut due to all seven members being active. The lack of promotions is why most k-netizens consider the OT6 debut as "pre-debut" activities and the OT7 debut as the group's true debut. It should be noted that even though Charlie Puth wrote "Like That", YG producers (Choice37 and Jared Lee) made some changes to it (rap parts + ad libs) to better fit Babymonster.

For the record, and this comment is not intended to hate on anyone but, Charlie Puth did not write the song FOR them, he just gifted it TO them. The song was already written and if you search KZbin you will find that there is a version of the song sung by him before BABYMONSTER was even finalized as a group. It was actually a track that was cut from one of his albums before it released.

I agree this is a better song for them, but I also understand why they have that other song first but yeah! This is just the start for the group and by the way YG is pumping out music for the group for sure there's going to have more and more great song's in the future.😈😎

The debut was scheduled when Ahyeon needs to rest for health purposes probably out of pressure and knowing “some” targets YG ever since BigBang and BP success that Ahyeon took the blow when her video from a school performance was used against her. FYI there was no promotion for Batter Up and Stuck in the Middle for the reason that they weren’t complete maybe or YG was really waiting for Ahyeon. But everything was a blessing in disguise cause her absence triggered fans to demand her presence especially YG was a smart troll to not give any update, denial or confirmation of Ahyeon Status. And Boom Sheesh was dropped with that new debut teaser with Ahyeon showing at the end part is totally a fxxng genius! The kpop world was in riot and Baemon became an instant hit! Watch the documentary of Sheesh ep. 1 with Choice 37 and you’ll understand better the behind the scenes of the prduction

YG confirm their debut official is when ahyeon is back,That's because babymonster is a group with 7 members, and when BETTER UP was released, Ahyeon couldn't participate yet ,But YG must keep their promise to fans who are waiting to debut them in 2023 at that time, That's probably why Better up performance video has the title SPECIAL DEBUT 👀

YG is making sure for the new global and international fans that Baby Monster is YG and the little sister of BlackPink for marketing. As most international fans including myself Like That. This is the best song in the album. I don't think any other group can pull this type of song with simple beat and tempo because of the clarity of their pronunciation vocally/rap. Nothing like this in Kpop this is what makes them unique. It's not just Kpop that need this the global music needs this. Its a lose art in music genre as when as live singing. It's next level. They are the only group who can ballet sing and slow rap in English that does it justice. Pure hip-hop, R&B, rap and pure swag. The songs Batterup and Sheesh are YG's Kpop style of music, but ballets like Dream, Stuck in the Middle or slower hip-hop/ R&B like Like That. These song are not popular in Kpop but a global fans especially in the west. This is own jam. They can really do all concept and genera.

Good point, EXCEPT no Ayheon w/ her vocals, she was still out sick ( health reasons-unknown?) so 'Like That" would have been missing a key element for the original ( pre-Ahyeon back) debut, but I see your point- (maybe?) "Like That" would have been better for debut - Also, ... NOT sure? how debut w/ a song , written by someone (outside YGE) would have gone over, giving HATERS an excuse to say so-( just thinking of the girls emotions here ) ... txs see ya on the next one!

Your facts are wrong. Charlie Puth wrote this song even before BM debuted. He even had it up on KZbin. Ahyeon cover went viral so much so that Charlie Puth was given an award in one of the Music Award although Dangerously was like a 5 year old song. Charlie Puth then gave this song to BM.
