So the BABYMONSTER debut project has been an ongoing project since 2018. Ruka, Asa, Haram, and Ahyeon were YG Trainees for almost 5 years now. Rora became YG trainee in 2019, Pharita became a YG trainee in 2020, and Chiquita became a YG trainee in 2021. The BABYMONSTER content that has been dropped since early this year were ALL FILMED from April 2022. Yep the live performance, introductions, character playlist, Last Evaluation episodes, dance performances, and etc has all been edited and put together to drop this year before BABYMONSTER debut. The girls’ CORRECT AGES currently meaning right now in the present 2023. Ruka turned 21 years old this past March. Pharita is 17 years old and will be turning 18 in August. Asa just turned 17 years old last month. Ahyeon just turned 16 years old last month. Haram is 15 years old and will be turning 16 in October. Rora is 14 years old and will be turning 15 in August. Chiquita turned 14 years old this past February. So yeah they’re still a pretty young group, but the age gap isn’t that bad compared to other girl groups. Ruka and Chiquita have a 6 years age gap. But did you know 2NE1 had a huge age gap too? Bom and Dara were 25 and Minzy was 15 years old that’s 10 years, but it didn’t seem like there was an age gap. Red Velvet’s Irene was 23 years old and Yeri (even though she originally didn’t debut with them in 2014) was 15 years old. She officially made her debut when she was 16 years old. That’s an 8 years age gap right there. I mean yes… Chiquita was 13 last year and idol lifestyle is very hard and can take a toll on such a young person. But at the same time, this is something that she loves to do and WANTS TO PURSUE. Let’s just hope she has a really strong support system around her when she has the bad days or when criticism/hate get bad cuz it happens. All these girls are super talented and they want to pursue this even with the repercussions/consequences of being an IDOL. Heck these past couple of years A LOT of light has been shed about mental health both mentally and physically. There’s a lot of unfortunate things that has happen and the girls are aware of all that. I really do hope that they are prepared for all of that it’s not always going to be RAINBOWS, BUTTERFLIES, and SUNSHINE.

Ahyeon is more of a vocalist than a rapper. We really haven’t heard her rapping as much as we’ve heard her singing. Personally, I like her singing more. From the clips we’ve seen of her rapping, I can definitely tell her rapping isn’t on the same level as Asa and Ruka, but it’s still pretty good
