G Dragon is an iconic member and rapper of the group Big Bang in 2nd Gen (I think). I believe Babymonster is just doing a variety of genres to see what the audience likes the most since it is their 2nd album however YG is known to have hip hop influences.

G-Dragon was(is) the leader of Big Bang and wrote/produced a lot of their songs, also has had a very successful solo career. Haven't heard much from him since he got out of the military but I think he's been working on his next album, hopefully soon.

​@@shalayaBI suggest you listen to more of Bigbang's songs. You will realize how diverse they are. And behind that diversity, there is G-Dragon who is mostly the brain behind Bigbang's songs. I can only say that G-dragon is a legitimate legendary kpop figure. Or like many ppl said the King of kpop.

Last evaluation is 8 vids but the debut member announcement reaction vid that was right afterwards shows chiquita mentioning she's been learning to rap. There are clips of Rami and Pharita rapping here and there. Rora is the only one to not show any rapping, but the intro vid did say she was an all rounder. G-Dragon aka the King of Kpop. Leader of BigBang the 2nd gen boy group that made YG. He is also one of the biggest soloist. I recommend BigBang and other solo/unit works esp since I've seen you enjoy BM and Treasure. Most of their stuff has no subtitles, so you will want to find fan MVs with subs if you want to watch and read. Although, recent solos from Taeyang and Daesung will have subs. G-Dragon is suppose to have a comeback soon as well. Well, YG is known for Hip Hop and R&B with strong rappers. However, they definitely do more than just those genres. BM is so versatile so I always expected them to explore multiple genres, and the members always mention that they wanted to do multiple genres as well. I think the translation could have been better. How I interpreted it was he said he was focused on doing songs for the entire group and didn't originally have thoughts about unit or solo songs, but they ended up creating a unit song.

About G Dragon.. People used to call him "King of Kpop" and his legacies are huge to kpop industry (like creating personal fandom lightstick, so he can know where his fans are and attending fashion shows, making airport fashion a thing, writing his own music, making a mini album concept in kpop and etc.). You can say most of the trendy things that kpop idols nowadays doing normally are starting by him. He is one of the biggest target for korean media and audiences and also one of the most well respected person by his fellow idols and artists in industry. More exciting thing is this is the first time of his name rolling on the credits after his long-term 8 years hiatus.

G. Dragon is the real King of Kings Kpop...many things kpop does/did today are based on GD and Bigbang introduced back then. GD have around 170 songs copyright under his name. By the way they were under YG too before everybody walked away to do solo work now days.

I think that I said to you one time that the only person that we haven't heard any rap from is Rora but the rest have shown their rap skills either in the INTRO VIDEOS or LAST EVALUATION but the most notably was in their Fan Meetings. Rami and Pharita showed that they can rap by doing Ruka and Asa's part in different songs. Just like how Ruka did some singing. Chiquita was the only member that was visibly training to rap since that is where she is weak in. He is kind of known as the King of Kpop and comes from a legendary group. So if you remember in the LAST EVALUATION with the dance practice for the BLACKPINK Missions and on the whiteboard was written "Do you want to go home after practicing for six years?" which was signed by G-Dragon an was said to him by Yang Hyun-suk. So it was a big thing for BABYMONSTER since it was one of their legendary sunbae that was watching them. If you do the reaction to the pre-release single then it will get blocked if you post it before the album releases on Nov, 1st. That was the reason that DREAM was blocked but after it was released on the mini-album I haven't seen people have issues with posting their reactions. Historically, that is how YG works with pre-released track M/Vs and once the album is released then they don't usually block after the album release.

I've seen some YT shorts from the See You There tour where Pharita swapped parts with Ruka, I think it was Batter-Up. Also saw one where Rami did Asa's rap from Sheesh. Rora is the only one I haven't seen rap yet but I'm sure she will do fine. Rami, low-key, was pretty good from what i saw.

YG never teases chorus. Actually they won't reveal anything, except the basic beat. Sometimes, not even that. BM don't have any specific genre. They do it all, just like TREASURE. The base of all YG artists is hip-hop but with variations. GD is the KING OF KPOP, 2nd-gen YG artist. He s the one who brought many "firsts" to kpop. I'll mention a few here: 1. 1st idol producer 2. 1st light stick. The concept was introduced by him 3. 1st idol who popularized airport fashion.... He is very influential, not only as an idol but also as a creator and immensely popular in the fashion industry. Just check out his songs.
