1:11 I remember those days when it was map dependent and a gamble, as it if you will have a long enough runway to take off or not 😂 The performance mods could literally mean, the difference between ramming those trees, or getting air born 😂 I absolutely love the he162 (from Il-2 1946 days) and play it so much in WT (suffering involved) so seeing it go to 6.0 is a dream come true :D

the most effective way of playing the me163 is flying over your enemies at full speed so when it inevitably falls apart some of the glue and fuel might land on the enemy plane.

The He-162 is My Favorite and Most Used Jet in my Grind, heck I’ve used this Plane more than my F-4J and I absolutely Love it. Keep up our Glorious Pilots Training! And always make sure they Remember that when they Run out of Ammo to go for the Ram so they may see their Pilot Brethren in Valhalla!

I think on the first map that you played on ended quickly because the ticket count on that map is quite low. this means if most of your allies die and the enemies just ground-pound for a bit they can win the game just by tickets. One map that I know of in which a single ground-attacker can end a game is in the Poland air map where if you destroy all the Pillboxes and Light Pillboxes and some medium tanks, the game would be won just by tickets. Im unsure if this works if you are playing in jets (there might be more tickets compared to props) but I have seen people win games just by destroying most of the "heavy" ground targets (Light and normal Pillboxes, and medium tanks) in the Poland air map

Most He 162 combat losses in April/May '45 were dead stick landing crashes, due to the plane running out of fuel.

I believe the reason why you can't zoom-climb in early jets too well is because instructor in RB and AB lowers your thrust to stop you from stalling the engine. Too much fuel, for not enough airspeed to feed engine with oxygen to burn it, engine gets flooded and goes out. Plenty of pilots died because they would instinctively add throttle when in danger of crashing, losing all thrust instead. Later, jets had mechanical limiters put in place to prevent that.

@@Rebentium because the lightning cant get guns on target. the He-162 can. The MG 151 is one of the most reliable guns in the game and you have 120 rounds per gun. Easily enough to kill 5 people with good aim. Also the lightning isnt actually that fast at the altitudes that matter and people have r60 and aim9-e at that br. The 162 meanwhile is literally untouchable, rolls like an absolute god and has well placed and reliable guns. Just keep to above 750kph at all times and you are effectively safe, cause any prop will compress at those speeds and therefore be unable to hit a plane that has the smallest wing span in the game and cancer rolls. Look for people who are distracted and just snack them. It is honestly pretty free real estate. The biggest negative of the 162 is that the JU-288 exists and you are sometimes the only fighter on your team in a 6v6.

"The me262 its a fantastic plane because with good aim you can get more than 60 kills!" The only thing good about the He-162 is the speed, nothing more. The MG 151 is good individually but when you only have 2 20mm with low ammo, any other combination of armament of any other fighter at that br is better. The He has 0 energy retention, losses all the speed with 1 turn. "Just need to keep above 750kph" its only possible on a straight line. If someone in air RB doesnt hear you engines or doesnt see your name above your plane its basically afk... On ground RB its a little more easy, but still its impossible to not hear the engine. The He-162 is: a plane with very good top speed at 6.3, decent roll, average/bad fire-power compared to other fighters, awful energy retention, bad turn rate in combination with the energy retention, no bombs or rockets = no ground attack ability (except spaa/light tanks but you need the ground targets belt, removing the air target belt), 12k of repair cost... and extremely weak. And saying "the people are just stupid" invalid your argument. Only because you can get good matches on a plane/tank/ship doesnt mean that its OP. You cant say "the 162 is an absolute beast" if only you can use it with one playstyle: run of the enemy. Edit: you are missing a very important point: THE BR IS NOT ONLY FOR AIR RB, but more for ground rb. There are planes that their br its made because of ground rb.

Well Iron, or IA, send me here from the stream to watch his "newest vids, it was fun to make". And as is normal for my comments under Irons vids, i shall go back into my persona. AHEM! Well, you see, the 162 is a grand design in its entirety. You see, We studied the warhammer 40k orks, and realised, that building stuff that only works if you believe in it workin, is much cheaper than actually makin stuff. Who cares if like 20 people die by simply tryin to fly it, we got LOADS of manpower still in the pot, trust me hans. trust me, just try to not look into our list or ask why its gettin shorter so quickly. we got loads of pilots for these. we got 47... 46... 4- ENOUGH PILOTS! what? fuel? you dont need fuel, you climb and then glide silly. dont be wasteful, think about climate change like us sensible engineers do. and just sayin, the engine behind the cockpit is genius. cant argue that. it keeps a nice air circulation above the cockpit and makes the pilot stay calm when bailing. or die, but thats his problem for bailing early. anyway, ill go back to trainin our 27 pilots. all 25 need their fuel and ofcourse, those 23 chaps love nothin more than takin out a bomber at most while loosin none in the fight. off i go, if the führer asks, you are in charge while i go on this very long toilet brake.

1.Don't turn fight with it 2.use it on ground RB(it sucks in air RB) 3. Be in a higher alt than what the enemy spawns at so about 8000-10000ft 4. Get behind the enemy shoot and destroy them easily climb back up to the height you were before and repeat You'll be saving your team from CAS and the enemy will spawn aa to try to revenge kill you only to realize your not interested in ground targets so they're stuck in a AA so its a win-win I can stress enough Don't turn fight them unless they're a heavy plane like a ad-4 or a bomber cause it won't end well most of the time, it's hit and run tactics that make this plane good. I don't use it in air RB cause it's hard to get a 1v1 situation without being jumped by a 2nd plane plus most planes in ground RB want to reach the battlefield so they're gonna trade they're alt for speed to get their faster making it a little to late if they notice you cause they can't get back to that height or you'll be behind them by then and you just need to be accurate and toss a couple bullets at them to take them out. You can do head on fights but if you have low SL I wouldn't recommend it. Overall a good plane that denies the enemy from having any kind of air support while you're allies can go nuts on the enemy with CAS.

When it comes to handling, you're essentially a FW 190 but more, if that makes sense. However you're a lot less durable, and carry fewer weapons and far less ammunition.
