The dark side will make you forget what you stand for. Balance exists when the force is balanced by removing the corrupting influence of the dark side. Gray jedis are barely much better than Sith, as they are too tainted by the dark side.

@@DiogoJ1 So you're saying Ahsoka is barely better than the Sith? Gray Jedi are EVERY level of force user ranging from between a Pure Light Jedi all the way down to Sith. If they lean heavily on the dark side but aren't Sith, they're a Gray Jedi. If they're utilizing the Light Side of the force for the majority without completely adhering to the Jedi Order's teachings, they're a Gray Jedi. Jedi are White, Sith are Black, and everything in between are Gray Jedi, hence why they're called Gray. The primary reason for why Jedi slip so quickly into the Dark Side is purely because the Jedi Order virtually kidnaps them as children and brainwashes them into their mindset, so they grow up completely messed up and missing a lot of psychological pieces that would let them slow themselves down and even stop from descending too far into the Dark Side of the Force.

Its why Cal and Bode barely scrape by in the end and it took Cal’s quick thinking and manipulation of his anger to win. I think if Cal had also given into the darkside like he did in the empire base and against bode, he would have bested him, or at least would have been “even” like their previous encounters

The game's pacing is definitely a little weird. Dagan was set up as the main villain, so by the time you get to the observatory, you're like "wait...is this the end of the game? Already?" Then you just kill him, that's it for the high republic story. Then you find out that the game wasn't about the high republic or Dagan. That was all a red herring. It what all about Bode and Cal's friendship. Which isn't necessarily bad, because other than Cal and Marin, that's the relationship I cared about the most. I think it was a bold decision to set up all this high republic stuff, and then throw it away. It keeps with the games message of moving on from the past, and adapting. I'm going to play it a second time and see how it feels. I genuinely thought the game was suddenly just over after killing Dagan, so Bode being bad was legit shocking to me. Now I that I know the main twist and where it all goes, it may feel more natural and less abrupt.
