EDP has a very medicinal note to it which is quite off putting. After months of debating i eventually purchased the extrait as it doesn’t seem to have this feature. No regrets.. absolutely stunning and worth every penny 🤩

I save my extrait for more special occasions cause I only have the 70ml for it. I use the edp quite often since I have the 200ml. I feel that the edp might project more but the extrait is heavier, lasts longer, but sits closer to the skin. Extrait still has unbelievable sillage and projection tho

I have a serious case, my friend recently bought this Extrait version , she had it used but surprisingly she said only can smells only max 2 hour then she had to reapply it , again and again , and she’s make a big fussed of it saying it’s a fake perfume . But I tried it, I found that ..: it’s works so well on me , I can still smell on my wrist after 2 hour , even people around me smell it. And I love it , I just don’t understand why she disputes the perfume ... and unhappy about it ... Scentsei very interesting that you say the EDP lasts longer on you. I’ve been hearing the same thing (constantly) from other reviewers and people, in general. I just ordered the EDP yesterday, but I’m still very interested to hear what others have to say about performance with the EDP. I guess I want to feel like I made the right decision. Lol. @@mireya762002 yeah, but I couldn't tell a big difference. I prefer the EDP though. It's more playful while the extrait version is more grown-up. Wearing them at the same time is just a waste of perfume. When my Extrait is empty, I'll just by the EDP. The hair perfume doesn't really smell like the perfume. It smells sort of harsh. I don't think I'd buy it when I run out. For Baccarat Rouge 540, you don't need to layer it. The EDP takes over everything.

You might not like how it smells on the first time but after a few time you wear it, you'll love it. You'll get anosmic due to the ambergris in it but everyone around you will smell you. And you'll get compliments left right and center.

I agree with what you said, so I wear them both, the Extrait fills in the gaps of the EDP...I definitely go nose-blind with this, but I think that's an intentional part of the formulation. When you wear them both, it is complete...BR540 smell so good...definitely 'fancy Band-Aids' smell if it has to smell like one thing.

My experience with the EDP and extrait is INCREDIBLE. The extrait sits a little heavier because of the almond. I wanted to have them both. I have clones, but they truly can’t compare to having the really thing. The only clone that comes close (IMO) is Al Haramain Amber Oud Rouge. I AM NOT DISAPPOINTED AT ALL!!!

Use unscented lotion, rub it in to your skin and wait for it to be absorbed, then spray your fragrance and it should sit on top of the lotion and wont be soaked up by your skin so quick.

Hello...., I'm not subscribed to your channel but watched this video some days ago and was looking to buy one version of baccarat rouge so I decided to try the store you suggested. Twisted Lilly. I gotta say it's one the worst online shopping experiences I've ever had. Maybe 2 or 3 years ago the store was better but now it's pretty bad. So I bought the original baccarat rouge and it took 2 days before I heard anything from them and then said would take 2 weeks just to process the order but before they could process the order I had to verify the payment method by proving I was the owner of the card I used for payment. I decided to do that and I get an email saying it'll take two days before I get a reply. Keep in mind the baccarat is already paid for.

I have 3 clones (inspired expressions lol)...so I kept telling myself I don’t need BR540, but I just can’t get pass the fact that I need to have the real thing in my collection. One of the most unique scents I’ve ever smelled is an inspired expression (BR540 clone) by Tiziana Terenzi called Spirito Fiorentino. I HHHHHHATED that scent when I first bought it. It literally smelled like burnt plastic in the opening. It took me a couple weeks to try it again. Once I let it develop on my skin I feel in love with the mid and drydown. To date, it’s EASILY my most complimented fragrance...EVER!!! My other clones (Instant Crush and Amber Oud Rouge) get really good compliments too, but not like Spirito Fiorentino. All that being said, BR540 should far exceed Spirito Fiorentino. We’ll see lol....

I cannot smell either concentration at all, from the get-go. So it's not nose blindness caused by olfactory fatigue. I was in Neiman Marcus yesterday and the attendant sprayed both on card and basically nothing. Everything else before and after I could smell. This is the second time this has happened. I hot a small 1ml sample of Baccarat Rouge for my initial smell of it and nothing. So now I know I am naturally anosmic to it. And scouring the Internet, this evidently is a phenomenon not unique to me concerning Baccarat Rouge 540.

I had the same experience with the extrait yesterday when I wore it for the first time. However, I became attuned to it. I sprayed it on paper, and I honestly had to wonder if it was even authentic. I threw the paper away. About an hour later, I could smell the saffron and sweetness from the covered bin in the next room. I sprayed it on my neck and hair…nothing. The opening must have some kind of numbing effect on people like us. When I left for the day, I had to roll the windows down in my car. Those 2 sprays on my neck nearly suffocated me! From that point on, it only seemed to intensify throughout the day. It got really crazy at hot yoga last night, which was more than 12 hours after I applied it. I woke up a few times in bed and could still catch the saffron. I’ve heard it can take some people days and weeks to become attuned to it. You may want to give it another shot.

I made the experience that i can go partly noseblind to the extrait and fully to the edp from the first spray, if i was wearing for example moonlight from pana dora or most of the anfas parfumes the days before. Probably its the heavy amount of ambrox, or some other synthetic molecule. Little parfume detox could help

I bought the EDP blindly and I just tried it and I don't know, but it doesn't smell really nice as I expected it to. It's just that everyone seems to love it so much and I gotta say I'm a little bit disappointed. Have some of you experienced something similar?

I'll come back to your comment on Tuesday and let you know, I blind purchased the 200mL EDP 🥴🤣 luckily I've never once in my journey been disappointed with a blind buy but given the $$$ of BR540 this could very well be my first disappointment. Time will tell 🤷🏽‍♂️
