Four parts are foreshadowing four parts of a rock band which has bass and drums. But johann us much better with the melodic aspect. Nowadays ya gotta have bass and a drum kit

Yes look carefully they have no arms and hence they failed at playing the violin, viola or cello and hence the consequences !
