Beautifully interpreted and executed on the piano. This is one of the giant, big-stop organ pieces. You really captured the power and majesty of this piece on the piano. Good interpretation - thank you. Can someone explain why the piano transcription of BWV552 has been given the additional name "St. Anne"? I have not found any information on this so far. Thanks for a short explanation.

The Fugue is based on the Hymn Tune "St Anne" known as "O God Our Help in Ages Past".

Bach didn't know anything about the hymn. The title was given later, mainly in the English speaking world.
