Bach's mighty organ toccata transcribed for the piano by Ferruccio Busoni. Again, apologies for the sometimes hideous face pulling. I blame indigestion. Played by James Rhodes @JRhodesPianist

How can we take at once the genious of JS Bach? never got out of Germany but he took all the techniques of italian Maestros. I have play a lots of iTALIAN STUFF AND THIS IS ONE OF THE CAPOLAVOROS. As storic keyboards player I am fully in love with the way you play. So thank you James

Agree with your statement,James: To play this toccata publicly is one for adrenaline junkies. I would love to do it, but will likely never be able to do so in this life. Does not stop me to have a go at these octaves and passages in the privacy of my electronic instrument headphoned hobby pianist enclave. Thanks for sharing your version on youtube

I've stated on some other videos of yours how amazing I find your playing. Your honesty about the frustration you face lets me know I'm not alone! I've locked the ax so I think before I chop the keyboard!

What kind of piano playing machine are you?! I love this piece so much and I love J.S. Bach. This is such a great rendition of this piece. Huge props to you for playing such a complex piece of music.

Nice to have the brief introduction by the performer. My biggest question regards the pedalling and dare I say an effect at times that is little less than smudging. No matter that Busoni was a Romantic arranger; we have learned a few things since then. Expressive sonority never has an excuse for dominating the note in Bach.

If "indigestion" has allowed you to play this piece so well, then eat more tacos! I think you've played the three parts extremely well.

Very well played! Though a bit stretched with pedal and legato for being a Bach transcription. Can’t say the same about the filming - it s impossible to observe the hands properly!

This is just silly! 2:12-3:43 is original for the feet. Many organists play the pedalsolo faster with their two feet than you play it with your ten fingers! Please do something else!
