Left hand tension is hard to get rid of. What I like to do is feel the weight of my left arm hanging from the fingerboard. instead of pressing down each finger, just let each finger fall into place. Apply only the minimum pressure needed with fingers. Elbow position also helps, make sure your elbow is always directly under to get the most pressure without effort

@Liserd Thank you so much! I've heard that before, actually, but I totally forgot! How wonderful! Thank you for taking the time to write all that down. Thank you!!

Whoa, this was rough to even get to this point... but it took so long... that i had to move on to the next section. I am having a hard time with vibrato, more so with the double stops. My left hand gets very tense. Does anyone have a tip? 😢

I love the slow tempo it really lets you enjoy each harmonic double stop ❤

@JoshsMusic777 Thank you for the kind words. Personally, and frankly, I absolutely dislike this recording. I struggled so much, but i have to move on to the next section that comes in my way. I jump around. 😅

@@waterliliesbymonet7827 it sounds really good this is an extremely complicated piece physically and emotionally. I myself am trying to learn it and with very little experience just chipping away at it little by little.. thank you for sharing this ❤️

@JoshsMusic777 "chipping away" is what i am doing, and i guess that's the only way to go for those who are late beginners or with less natural talent, like myself. When Yo yo MA was about 5 years old, his dad would help him to practice, I think it was Bach Prelude, one measure per day. I think about that a lot. Good luck to both of us.
