Over the years, PianoTexas has established a global reputation of its kind. With a 44-year vintage in 2024, we continue with a festival of excellence encompassing superb programs of performance and learning for Young Artists, Juniors, Teachers, and Amateurs.
Regardless of age, profession, and background, the Piano Texas Amateurs Program is ideal for non-professional pianists who enjoy music and playing the piano. Since its inception in 1996, the program has been designed for someone aspiring to keep learning and experiencing the art of performing. Depending on each individual's different levels and objectives, the program can be fun, entertaining, intensive, and demanding.
PianoTexas is not a competition but a place where amateur pianists can show their love of music through performances and interaction with esteemed musicians in a highly inspiring and exciting musical environment. Of particular interest is the opportunity to perform concertos with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. The School of Music, TCU's superb facilities include three concert halls (with live streaming capability), teaching studios, and practicing rooms.
First-time participants are welcome, and we are delighted to see our loyal returning participants. The camaraderie between like-minded amateurs creates a friendly atmosphere and ensures an inspiring and rewarding experience.

Perhaps oh! Prof. Elisi, you could let the girl play alone when you advise her on a particular phrasing. Often, you play together with her, so we cannot really hear whether she has improved or not.
