This is the third episode of the series I recently started called "Understanding Bach's Fugue." I'm planning to upload a complete analysis of all WTC fugues within a year or two so, but I'm doing my best to somehow upload one or two analysis videos per week.
In this particular fugue, we will discuss about the subject, countersubject, and how it was used during the episodes.
The main purpose of this video is to analyze the structure of the fugue, which includes its entries, the parts, the coda, etc. Proper interpretation of the piece in terms of performance may be talked about in a different topic.

Very good. I assume some interpretation is possible in how to play the sixths of the main subject, you play the base notes soft, while other use a mild or strong stakkato. I cannot yet make up my mind about some of such details, what will be legato, stakkato, the dynamics, etc. Not really trained in theory, I would also like to understand more about the chord progression in detail. Is there any written out chord analysis for this piece? Thanks a lot for the nice and professional approach and beautiful presentation.

Incredible analysis. I am currently learning this fugue, because it's one of the most up beat Bach pieces I've ever heard! Without guidelines and thorough analysis like this it's a messy nightmare to practice tho :)

It's been more than a month since I started this channel and it was originally about instrumental accompaniments and music analysis. Thank you for your comment. I tried to make it as in-depth as possible. Most of analyses out there only indicate the subject entries anyway. Big thanks!

You mentioned the 1st episode is within the exposition. Is it common? I thought the episode always appears after the exposition. Exposition is where all 4 voices make an entry or am I missing something?

The first entry of the subject strats with the interval of a second, but the second entry starts with a third, is it still considered a tonal answer?

Yes... a real answer would preserve those intervals
