Of all the recordings of this piece, this one is the one I keep coming back to. Somehow it's more accessible than the organ version and doesn't feel rushed!
@stevewallschlaeger13795 жыл бұрын
Just simply slow it down on the organ. Then add the parts to add as or if you become ready to do it. Klavier ist different because there are no stops ranks of pipes. She has the loud swell soft pedal and added tiny parts from the pedal parts within the bass notes as is customary to be heard. Learn to pick the most important lines first and simply allow it to come together during rehearsal but don't let the note faery perfectionist to stop you from continuing forward

Considering this piece was made for organ and makes heavy use of organ pedals at certain parts, I think that's the focus of this performance, how hard it is to split 4 voices into 2 hands when you basically have 3 as an organist... Those 3rd and 4th, also 4th and 5th finger trills are the most impressive in my opinion; those who don't play have no idea how absurdly difficult it is to make a trill as you play a different melody, let alone with your ring finger and pinky!

Bach invention 4 in d minor is a baby version but I agree. Bach’s ornaments kill me

Just clicked on this out of curiosity and stayed for the whole thing. Very serious and engaging playing! That is a very bright piano. I can't tell what make it is. In any case, pianos are very hard to record realistically.

My favorite classical piece. Very well done!
@rubiksmaster3015 жыл бұрын
It isn't technically classical, since classical is more Mozart's time. Bach, Handel, Scarlatti, and others are from the Baroque period, with more fugues. The romantic period was Beethoven's time, and Chopin. However, I completely agree!

@@rubiksmaster301 When I first read the William's comment I thought he meant the classical piece as in classical music piece so that's probably what they meant. Besides that you're absolutely right.

She even did the 'I'm deeply feeling the music so much that my head tilts constantly as if to ponder the sounds coming out' head tilts! This is amazing... I wonder.. as pianists why do we feel the need to look supremely confident in our playing, as if it's as easy as cake for us....what if it isn't.... for you it was though!

Even bach died. For some reason I feel, among many other things ashamed to die, but then I hear Bach's fugues and realize that I cannot write even one voice as beautiful as he could write 4. If death was good enough for bach then it is 4 times good enough for me. I don't really know why I wrote this, but for some reason I know it's relevant in some way
@Peter-tx5dj4 жыл бұрын
Agree totally on the fact that bach had an incredible gift. What's up with that death thing tho? Is it just praising Bach in a weird way

Not a few years, then obviously it's above your level. Certainly no 1 week either, this isn't Chopin. When it's at your level, expect to spend 2 months for the notes. Then getting everything beautiful will be a neverending challenge.

I guess you all missed the "from scratch..." part in the reply, in relation to someone with no experience, and new to the instrument.

If you learn 5 bars a day. You should get it done in roughly 2 weeks. A month at most and an eternity to master cus its Bach

I see the big ol honk box. Steel strings by the window. And I think, this cant be the one... And then. Surprise. It turns out to be exactly it. No uhms or not quites. Even the intensity on introduction to the bass couldn't be better on any piano. The one I'll keep coming back to. It's like I asked someone to get me water, without clueing in even remotely as to how much. And they come back with the exact amount, to the millimeter. The world is just so fucking strange.

Tak pěkné to mohlo být! Ale tohle je Bach, musí se držet tempo! A použít pedál vám poradil kdo? Bach nepotřebuje takové umělé dramatizace, to je úplně proti jeho duchu.. Ale jinak dobré, přeji hodně úspěchu.

Robert Burnett Better use the reply option of KZbin to keep conversations followable. But i agree. Those comments on the pianist being female is so sexist.. People should appreciate her for the efforts in learning this piece and piano in general, not because she has a female body.

Decent, but stills needs much work. KEEP YOUR FOOT OFF THE SOSTENUTO PEDAL!! You destroy 1/3 to 1/2 the voice leading by careless overuse of it - and learn not to confuse hard, sharp, overly loud articulation with expressivity. You could improve half the quality of your performance by lowering the volume by 1/2 to 1/3! Obviously a gallant effort, but it needs much greater sensitivity to dynamics and intonation before you can call it a finished product.

How very astute of you to have noticed!

@AliceSokolova8 жыл бұрын
There is no mistake at 1:45. What sounds like a mistake is the dissonant major second interval formed by G and A, which are members of a half-diminished seventh chord.

@AliceSokolova4 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, since this piece was composed for organ, the piano transcription requires using pedal to include all the voices in only two hands.
@semafor56404 жыл бұрын
@@AliceSokolova This is understandable, but such a long pedal spoil the clarity. Thank you for the beautiful music and nice conversation.
