You guys are brilliant. Jonathan plays so beautifully. But also, these are the best recordings on KZbin. It’s very difficult to record a pipe organ and get faithful reproduction of the live sound. These videos come very close, and I am grateful. 🌺

So much more exciting that the far more widely played Toccata and Fugue in D minor. Put the brothers at the front of the vaccine queue for services rendered during the crisis is what I say.

And it seems like I hear more upper-work in the audio this time. That's a good thing. So much appreciation for all of the Scott Brothers creations.

Magnificent and such an enjoyable performance of this noble prelude and fugue. I do hope the Scott brothers will one day produce the complete organ works of J S Bach. I know it has been done a few times before and I have all my Peter Hurford CDs from the 1980s, but Jonathan's vision and sheer artistry would be really special. Perhaps with some works played on the Bridgewater Marcussen? Incidentally, I have another excellent recording of this piece played by Nicholas Kynaston on the much smaller but beautifully designed Rieger organ in Clifton Cathedral. Although my LP is nearly 50 years old, it's still treasured and played often. Kynaston creates a similar thrilling build up with the fugue and even without the shattering Marcussen chamades, achieves a spine tingling conclusion on the fiery Austrian opus. Bach's toccata and fugue in f major bwv 540 next??

Are all of the same facilities and features of the main console also available on the remote one? Also, how is the remote console connected to the organ? The cable is quite thin, obviously quite different to a cinema organ which I once saw which had a very thick cable, presumably with lots of wires, and a flexible pipe, which looked like vacuum cleaner hose; not sure if it carried positive gauge pressure or vacuum.

I admire Johnathan and listen to many of his excellent transcriptions. but am I alone in finding this more helter-skelter Bach. Yes technically brilliant but I want to savour the individual notes. For me if the tempo is too fast to ornament then its being played too fast.

It's pieces like this that make me not like that organ. Is it the musical equivalent of homogenised milk? I've never been lucky enough to hear it in person, but none of your other videos have that quality so I'm sure its not your recording technique
