A most fabulous trip to Bacharach, set on the banks of the river Rhine. Full of half-timbered houses, overlooked by the medieval Stahleck castle, high over the town. The majestic ruins of the Werner chapel can be seen from far away and is the symbol of Bacharach.

We were there two weeks ago. I'm sorry to say this but the town of Bacharach has had its grandeur in the past. Compared to Bernkastel-Kues, Cochem and other places it's not worth visiting although it has potential to revive.

We fully agree, Bacharach has certainly seen better times, there is long between the few beautiful spots, and the camper places are very narrow by the way. And, Bernkastel-Kues is also among our favorite towns. Cochem is on our list :) Very kind regards Chris and Lene
