Everything Ashlee said was codependent. “Together, we are whole.” “I will make you the happiest because you make me happy.” “Because of you, I am no longer broken.” I think this video was when he decided to send her home bc he doesn’t smile once and is visibly uncomfortable. She had no business being on this show in the first place.

I do agree with Ashlee being codependent. But she was a sweet and caring person. It’s just at the time, it wasn’t her time to be in a relationship and to take on the step of marriage. This was the time where she needed to learn to make herself happy and to be happy on her own. While the show aired, it was almost as if she felt a relationship was going to make her genuinely happy and whole. But I think now she’s in a much better place and she seems happier.

@@claireparsons1926 Absolutely. Ashlee seemed pretty cool. Real sweetheart. I think that she had a good relationship with Sean, enough that it brought out some areas where she needed to grow and heal before she could actually be the kind of person she wanted to be. Probably didn’t expect those wounds to surface and manifest in the way they did hence why she probably thought she could go on this show and be okay. If she knew that she was going to have struggles to this extent, I bet she wouldn’t have signed up. She seems pretty sharp. Wanting to put someone else before yourself is a beautiful thing but wanting to put someone else above yourself can have disastrous consequences. I think she wanted to keep the relationship and that’s why she said what she said. But if isn’t there, it isn’t there. It all worked out for the best!

I watched this episode from the very first day! I never watched it before. My daughter told me about this show. Thank goodness it was Sean and soon to be wife, Catherine. I loved how well mannered he was, true with his feelings. I hope to one day meet someone. I been single and my heart is healed from the loss of my love, my life, my all. I know he's out there. I could watch this all over again.

Lindsay has to be the most unfortunate runner up in Bachelor history. She's the only one who can't say to the winner "well you didn't wind up with him either". Her season was the season right between Bachelor Pad and Bachelor in Paradise. And she was passed over for the Bachelorette. How did they not pick her after coming out in a wedding dress the first night and being the runner up? And Sarah was on Sean's season too, wouldn't that have been a great story making her the Bachelorette? At least she got to go to Paradise. Does anyone in Bachelor Nation other than me even remember Lindsay?
