The guy isn’t truly funny, I don’t consider him a comedian. It was mostly all too trashy as well. They relied on profanity and low class. If you want to see a classic roast with real comedians and talent, look up the Don Rickles roast with Frank Sinatra, the most complete version you can find, with Charlie Callas in it.
