Bachmann 060 repair and update

That's great, that ya got it going again!. I have one(generation 1) that needed new drive rods and valve gear. I found that the valvegear and drive rods to the newest version can actually be fitted with very little modding. The sets just press fit into the loco.But some light sanding is needed on that pin that mounts towards the back of the drive rod set.

Hey buddy thanks for watching, I’m pretty happy with the way things turned out with the little 060 I also made a purchase and have a huge box of code 100 Atlas track and about 5 bridges a layout is in the works just waiting on my building this summer

The new sets of wheels/axles that Bachmann sells don't fit in the older Gen 1 or Gen 2 0-6-0s they are only for Gen3. I've got 4 gen1s with cracked axles, 2 gen2s, with cracked axles, and 1 newer Gen 3 with metal axles. I'm 100% going to try this pen trick on my Gen1s! Sadly that doesn't fix the broken gear issue when that happens, but it's a great start!
