Interesting. Old Oak Common was the main depot for London Paddington. You also have the Network Southeast flash on the sides too. ADB code usually means it's a Departmental vehicle.

Personally I love the Bachmann brake vans, for two reasons, the first being that I grew up watching Thomas, and the second being that it’s just something different from our cabooses here in America. By the way, it would be nice to see some brake vans in America railroads, too bad that may never happen tough.

I picked the red one up at my local hobby shop, it’s definitely doing it’s job. Although I have noticed a couple of the earlier models (James, Thomas, and Percy) seem to struggle with the added resistance from the track cleaning van, but most of the others have had no issues. I’d definitely like to get the blue one eventually as well (maybe even the full set) to give some variety in rolling stock. As always great review!

Thank you, Blake! Upon running more engines with the brake van, I have noticed a few of them struggle with it, primarily on curves. Nevertheless, it is still a great model, and the fact that the cleaning pad can be replaced easily is particularly nice.

it isn't a thomas brake van ,, it is in network south east livery who covered the area around london in the mid 1990s -early 2000s , my guess is they released it in the US for thomas collectors as it is a huge market

It’s strange that they released these to the US market; I don’t know of many of y’all model Network Southeast, which is what this model represents; NSE was one of the sectors of British Rail from the late 80s through to privatisation in the 90s. Old Oak Common was a depot in the Western region.

I got two of them. Great video and used them on my train most days. Plus all the design are based on real life UK railway company want make them great to run with UK train. The blue one you got in NSE railway. I used that one with most of my diesels. Plus is clear the track and most people would note see it a cleaning wagon mean you can run it with a ton of rock stock from lot era and lot UK loco.

Awesome! Thank you for watching, and I agree. Seeing that the brake vans are a British tooling, they look great with any British locomotive and rolling stock.
