I'm new to DCC but found this really interesting with lot of functions i wasn't aware of. Thanks for that.

No problem. You will enjoy DCC and it’s evolving every year. Cheers Richard.

All very nice indeed. Particularly that last shot of the loco arriving at the TMD at night. Very atmospheric.

The two small lugs at 4:25 are steps so the driver or maintenance crew could stand on whilst holding the silver handrail - If they needed to clean the windscreen or do any other small jobs on the loco front.

Superb sound effects, and the F15 auto coupling is really useful! Great video!

Very nice loco Richard and a timely warning for many. The wheel flange is very realistic and the switch for the rear lights is vital when pulling a train. Unlike many, you take the time to master the sounds and "drive" the loco making a better video all round. My pet hate is hearing "2 on the bell" to go and then getting door slams or whistles, and why do so many think the Driver sounds his horn at every station stop? Spleen vented, lovely vid. Cheers!

Great sound on the 47. Most of my locos are fitted with Zimo decoders but I am impressed with yours and some of the extra functions. Smashing layout also!
@CHESEABUN8 жыл бұрын
Never tried Zimo yet.

Have blown a chip for my Class 45 about three years ago. So yes. I think experience is the key for fitting.

Revisited after 1 year.... still a great video. Wondering if you made CV 3 and CV 4 a bit higher how that would work? Trying to figure out if I could use automation with this decoder... might be tricky to get it to do what I want successfully.

Thanks for a great review! I have a question that I would value your opinion on. Is it my fading memory but the horn sound on this & just about every other model diesel loco I have heard does not sound like I remember it! Hard to describe it in words but I just remember it different? Keep up your good work, it's appreciated.

good video, SWD 'U' drive seems to go that little bit further than some chips.

Nice loco! Nice sound too! Can I ask, see the welder, welder equipment and orange jacket workman featured in 7.25 of the video....where did you get these guys? They look ace! Cheers. Dave
@CHESEABUN8 жыл бұрын
Hi Dave, The welder is part of the new Viesmann range. I bought it from layouts for U whilst at the Alexandra palace model railway show in London. The guy in the Hi viz jacket is part of the Bachmann range. I must do another update soon?. Ta Richard

BALLAN PARKWAY Hi, thanks for that! Its certainly a neat little cameo with the welder. The 47 is cool, but what's putting me off it is that its not got the high beam headlight....so its really a pre 1984 loco. I would have preferred it with a domino head code as well....more Scottish! lol. Not ruled it out though, but locos are getting so expensive! cheers. Dave

Nice loco and sound chip. I have a couple of class 47s with sound but older chips nowhere near as versatile as your new chip. Robin

How did you get the bodyshell off? I'm struggling with mine!
@CHESEABUN8 жыл бұрын
Very carefully. There are six screws first. Then the clips are around the cab ends. Just ease off gently. Hope this helps? Richard
