Great video. Just a couple of notes. Use some tweezers for handling the heat shrink and the wires. This will keep your hands out of the way of the camera. Second, tin your soldering iron and clean the tip... it will work much better for you! I think this is a great video. Looking forward to the next part!!

When we say the Shay has bad gears, what gears are we talking about? The ones below the motor or are they typically located in the trucks?

They are on the trucks. However, on rare occasion there are some bad gears in the gear tower.
