Lebhafte und wunderschöne Aufführung dieser perfekt komponierten Kirchenkantate mit gut vereinigten und perfekt entsprechenden Tönen aller Originalinstrumente sowie gut harmonisierten Stimmen des ausgezeichneten Chors und herrlichen Stimmen vierer genialen Solisten. Der intelligente und ebenso geniale Dirigent leitet das ausgezeichnete Barockorchester im rhythmischen Tempo und mit künstlerisch kontrollierter Dynamik. Der italienische Untertitel ist auch sehr angemessen. Glückliches Neujahr!

Leider! Wenn man schon alles historisch machen will, barocke Instrumente etc, dann bitte auch Knabensoprane bzw -Alte! Weibliche Soprane und Alte haben einfach nicht die richtige Ausstrahlung und sind zu opernhaft für ein barockes Oratorium. "Mulier tacet in ecclesiam" hatte schon seine Gründe...

What a wonderful way to begin the new year. This takes me back to my youth and the very first time I ever heard the Christmas Cantata. The Concentus Musicus Wien and Nikolaus Harnoncourt opened my eyes to a musical world I continue to explore to this day. Great! I love the terzetto (min. 17:24). Bach in this perfect part of his Cantata explores the biggest drama of human kind. Our Lord was already born, and we were not able to recognize him! We were expecting a different saviour, an almighty King, some kind of imperor. This is the drama. This is our so sad story.

Joyeuse et très belle interprétation par une formation où sont bien présente les instrumentistes féminines. Bien filmée, sous-titrée. Je serais cependant curieux d'entendre un contralto masculin chanter certaines parties qui me font penser aux récitatifs des évangélistes. J'aime peu le violon, mais j'ai trouvé magnifique celui de l"aria-trio.
