At about 9:30 ish, there looks to be fields of Jerusalem artichokes. They have root tubers that are full of protein unlike potatoes with starch. Remember where they are and you can dig them up all the way till springtime for food. Thanks for the walk.

I loved the part of the trail where it went through all those flowers. You don't often see that when hiking, usually just the occasional flower or two.

I think I too would find myself drawn to the area. Lots to explore and even getting lost allows one to see things that may first have gone unnoticed! Very enjoyable day and walk indeed!!

@wendingourway that is a great way to describe the feeling of getting out of the car and preparing to embark on the hike, not exactly knowing what to expect except for some stunning views of the lake! @@MountaineerFPV those trails are below the dam if I'm correct. We haven't been there yet, but we're sure glad that you stopped by!

@@LumberjackPa you are correct. There is one flow trail built by BAMBA by the dam and the others are on SE corner of the lake, across from the Dyke. I was out riding on wednesday and came across the biggest snapping turtle I have ever seen at BM. Take care and see you out on the trails 👍👍🇺🇸
