Noxema is a face cream. I remember women used it to remove their makeup. Also used on sunburn. They still make it. 😊

My grandmother washed her face with Noxema daily. She also believed it was a cure all. If we kids got a minor boo-boo, she would put Noxema on it. lol what a fun memory.

No Zelma IS for sunburn, taking your makeup off, contact dermatitis and bug bites. I used to use it back in the 70’s and 80’s, it smells terrific and really works well.

Well if your old enough you were covered head to toe in Noxzema as a kid after getting a 3rd degree sunburn at the beach or pool in the summer...ah great times great memories! 😂 I won't mention the chocolate Ex-lax memories😬

Noxema is a portmanteau for "No Eczema" No-X-Ema. So, I'd say it's safe to add to your collection of skin maladies memorbelia. I personally have only ever known it as a face wash, but I know that it first made its debut in Ocean City (the Maryland one) being sold as a cream for sunburns. Also, it was once referred to as "The Miracle Cream of Baltimore" . Those Fox apartments on Falls Cliff Road was the original Noxema factory back in the day. So, now you got some local-ish history to make those cobalt jars a little more tempting. ps- do not kill me, I am sorry if you already knew this.

I love love love that ginger jar with the roses. so pretty. Noxema was what us 80's teens used to clean our face every night. That 80's makeup was sure hard to take off. lol. Stay safe chick.

How much was the wing hair comb? The yellow candlesticks were pretty. The mid century horse is cool 😎 The black owl glass, ring holder was my favorite 😍 Fun video. I used Noxema face cream in the 70s, my mom used it too.

There is no such thing as "The Murano factory". Murano is a place, an island to be more precise. It's also not a brand name, just a geographical designation of origin protected by the law of the European Union. In the 13th century, all Venetien glass blowers had to leave the old town of Venice and were asked to move to Murano - due to the fire hazard. These days, most of the glass on Murano is not made there - simply because of the limited space. It's often made somewhere else in Italy. That's why not all "Made in the technique of Murano" is bad quality. But there is also a lot of made in China stuff there as well. That's why they introduced new stickers that state the ID of the workshop where a piece was made. But it's a constant battle against forgery.

Yes, but it's not THE factory that produces everything that is called Murano glass. There are about 60 larger and smaller factories in Murano. That's what I was trying to say. 🙂
