"How's your five knots going?" is one of the best lines I've ever heard 🤣

GReat review, as a native mainer, I thought these were the best boats in the world until I drove a Botnia Targa, They are truly designed to take any weather, in any season do it fast and efficiently. With a Single D440 the 32 will hit 38 knots and cruise at 33 all day long while burning 1.6 NMG or about 15 G per hour.

Yes I rate the Back Cove Yachts at the top of the quality spectrum. I've not tested a Botnia Targa so can't comment from personal experience.

Was that a big wind funnel I saw as you departed the heads? Maybe too many scotches. Love your work cheers Scotty

Nicely done. Enjoyed your review and great boat for what I'm looking for. Thanks.

Oh thanks Michael. I'm still learning this whole KZbin thing but enjoying having a crack. Honestly this Back Cove is a top quality piece of kit. Many boats i see are great fun but you would come into them expecting to sell them within a few years before the problems start. This Back Cove is a boat you would buy and hold on to for a long time. Top notch quality so she'll look after you for a long time in my opinion.

Never wanted a cruiser type boat until I saw the BC 34O. They've really crammed a lot of great features into that 35' hull. Has all the essentials without the extra fluff and excessive weight. I bet twin 600Rs would be a perfect match for it too. Based on the Back Cove brochure & current engine offerings the 600R's would probably cruise easily at 40+ knots at 4500rpm or so and low 3 seconds to plane. Might even hit 50+ knots top speed. That be the dream...

Possibly? I would want to check the weight of the 600R's before making that decision as she went really great with those Yamaha's already. The boat is definitely at the top end of the build quality spectrum so i'd say she probably can handle more HP!

@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife They weigh about 600 lb more per engine compared to the Merc 400's, so definitely more weight on the back end for sure.

Keep an eye out for the new Merc V10's on this model. Definitely no go on the 600's however we anticipate seeing these on the 39O model which is currently available only with triples

Before watching this video I saw the one of same boat with mercury 600s and the engine. noise level on this video is noticeably louder. It sounds like the engines were reving too much. I would like to see a video of this boat with three Honda 350s. What do you think. Thanks Jim Hammond

Such a great review, Dan! We are looking at a used Back Cove 34o and see boats with Yahama 300s, Suzuki's DF350As and Mercury 400s. Do you think it needs more power than the Yamaha 300s?
@BoatLife_DansBoatLife Жыл бұрын
Hey sorry for the slow reply i''ve been travelling a lot. So I thought the twin 300's were just fine on this boat. Plenty of HP to get her up on plane and cruise. Just ask yourself if you plan to be cruising with a full load of passengers regularly. If that is your situation then yes you can justify more HP to keep your cruising revs low and therefore fuel consumption. But if you will just be boating with a normal load of 2 - 6ppl on a regular basis then the Yamy 300's are totally fine.

very nice, I love your videos, How 340 compares to Antares 11, what is the difficulty grade? Thank you for your answer !!!

Quite different actually. I don't understand what you mean by difficulty grade? Do you mean how difficult it is to drive??
