Thanks for the plug Tim, I love this platform of saws they are smooth and I believe they have gobs of bottom end tourqe, I also built a 576 auto tune that sports a 24" .063 404 pitch bar and chain. There are a few aftermarket parts out there mag side bearing, gaskets, clutch drums, and Warhawk now makes a piston/cylinder kit but not sure of the quality. The PTO side bearing is proprietary and only available from Husqvarna. The 576at I built cost a little more than $600 including bar and chain and all OE parts.

Hey, I enjoy your channel so figured I'd mention it.. I played with my other 576 last year, new carb was bad, I repaired it and then had a wrist pin circlip failure. I managed to salvage the cylinder, bought a new lil red barn piston and that's as far as I got. Too many projects I guess. This one is pretty much new so I'll run the snot out of it and form my new oppinion of the 576 this summer.

Why would you put .404 on a husky whjen it has much greater kickback and vibration, 3/8 .058 is a beautiful chain guage which is why these saws run so great, even Stihl went this direction after Husky !

@@livingadamman7994 Not being an Ass here but because I could, Already had a roll of chain and when I purchased the 3/8 bar I also purchased the .404 roller tip for like $15 so when the .404 chain is all used up I'll switch over to 3/8.

@@craigtimmons3468 I understand buddy. Thanks for the explanation and the news that it's possible to change out to .404. I just got the Stihl 500i and I kind of wished it was same .058 cause now I need to buy more bars and chains, as cant interchange with my Husky. So be it. I'm determined to get my money worth out of the 576 now I've rebuilt and replaced so many parts

The 576 is hard to seal up between the carburetor and intake boot, that is why they fail. Use Yamabond between the carburetor and boot. Put a pipe on them and they scream and open up the top cover with air vents.

I have an 2011 576. Great saw. Did have the carb issue you talked about. Other than that its been a good saw. Once i get my 395 back from Kensie it will be my backup saw. I love the full wrap on it!! May have to get one!! Thanks for the info on it!! STAY SAFE!!

My first 576xp was a great saw but it was plagued by carb issues. This one runs perfect and feels stronger. Time will tell if it feels stronger.

Ya seems people either love them or hate them. I have yet to own a heated handle saw..would be nice to have here in Alaska..lol

Heated grips are so nice. I cut bare handed often in -25c weather.. I love the 576 platform.. They are a bit heavier then a 372 BUT they have more power, higher chain speed and it seems more torque. They also possess probably the best anti vibe of any saw I've run.. Time will tell if this saw is any good.

I have a 576XP non auto tune from about 2013, it's been rebuilt after I blew it on straight gas mess up, a major issue is that the pivot pin in the crank case for the chain brake mechanism broke when it got smashed in a fell gone wrong, this has happened a few times and I've already replaced the CB handle once and it'as broken again, the pivot pin was smashed out of case but a shop glued it back in and I think it's still good when I replace the handle. Carb has never missed a beat. But what I have now is the starter throw out dogs wont throw out, how do I fix this. I need this saw as my smaller saw so I need to fix it, and besides so many parts like anti vibe springs and chain brake parts have been replaces as well as the piston, rings and cylinder. I really need a spare parts saw. They no longer sell this saw in Australia, only the 572 XP. I have no idea why.

Older video but worth a shot. I have a 576xp (2012) with a damaged crank bearing (lower needle bearing) cases are fine. Any thoughts on using a 372xp crank? They have same stroke and bearing shaft size is same.

Is it typical for Husqvarna to have carb issues? I have used the top handle saws and they had carb issues, so switched to Stihl and Echo. I have a 242xp that had carb issues. Had the carb rebuilt and still had carb issues and it finally scorched top end. I have a 288xp had carb issues and than scorched top end. Put new top ends on both used lightly for a yr and scorched tops again. Now they are fixed again and set aside as show pieces. Before the pile on begins I have used saws for a living for 25+ yrs. Never had an issue with Stihl that couldn’t be attributed to long hard use. Love the way Huskies cut, just never owned one that didn’t have carb issues. Newer ones may be different, just can’t spend big $ to find out it’s the same.

I bought a 359 20 years ago. Seems like I was always tinkering with the carb. After a couple years I took it to the guy to fix the thing or swap it. He said I didn't need a rebuild, I need a different carb. I ordered it and put it on. Changed the saw forever. I still run it and haven't adjusted a thing on it since. It was the brand of the carb. I can't remember but I could look.
