This was during their smtown show last january where sm artists recreates other sm artist songs. This version is quite different from the original from H.O.T. Bias aside i prefer this more….such a powerful performance and our boys did it so well despite being just the two of them. Made me so proud! 😭 another epic rendition was tvxq’s psycho! 👌🏼

This is actually not an exo song, it’s a cover they chose to perform for a very recent SM concert. Both Chanyeol and Junmyeon are fans of rock so they loved the idea of doing this style of song. ❤ One of the most amazing things about exo is that you can take ANY combination of them, smoosh them together into a sub-unit and they will sound phenomenal. Pure talent. 🎉

This Suho and Chanyeol performance was amazing! Some answers for you: 1. H.O.T (pronounce the letters), is one of the first Kpop groups. They are pretty legendary. NCT's Candy is a remake of H.O.T's most popular song of the same name. One member of H.O.T, Kangta, is on the board of directors for SM. 2. SM Entertainment does SMTown every so often. It is essentially a concert of all their artists. They often add in colab stages between the artists. This year is 30 years of SM Entertainment, so there are a lot of cover stages (1 SM artist covering another SM artist). This SMtown is having issues as there are multiple people from SM not going (Taeyeon, Wendy, etc) and many groups are not complete due to the members not being under SM any more (EXO only had Chanyeol and Suho there). 3. This performance was in January, but the stage video for it only came out now (typical SM).

Every year SM prepares a special show to celebrate the new year. This year was a bit "traumatic", you know, that trash company always does senseless things about their artists, like not bringing them complete, not introducing them all; especially that 2024 was a year of independence for some group members (EXO, Shinee) and some problems with members of Riize, NCT, etc. This year, let's say that the only "available" EXO members were Chanyeol and Suho; they surprised us with this cover, in addition to presenting The First Snow both and two songs as soloists. To be honest, I hadn't heard the song before and I looked it up to see what it sounded like; I really found it a bit boring and monotonous, but with my CO-EXOLs we were sure that they would make it special, different and would sweep the public's attention. And we were right: whether it's one, several or all together, EXO is unmatched when on stage. The combination of Chanyeol's rap with Suho's vocals, the dance and the powerful presence of both, made this performance something viral and exciting. They both love rock so we knew it would be an explosive combination. Proud of my boys; they are unique and unrepeatable. No matter how you look at them: full group, subunits or soloists... They are something incredible! By the way, it was an even more sublime moment because Lay traveled to Korea to support them and we had photos and clips of the three of them on IG
