Hi Ms Angelica, OR nurse po ako dito sa US and total hip surgery is one of the most common surgery we do here on a daily basis. Watching po ung care sa inyo is almost the same sa ginagawa nila dito. Right after total joint replacement nagPT na agad ang patients namin. Yes, right after recovery room discharge may Physical Therapist ng nagvivisit sa kanila before they go home since out patient surgery lang sa amin ang total joint. Nurse ako sa orthopeadic dept dito sa Germany, sa amin nagstay ang patient at least minimum of 5 days after a joint replacement. Mas gusto ko yang out patient lang sila 😅 how I wish sa amin din.

I had my hip replacement 2018 and it definitely changed my life. I was born with hip dysplasia pero sa jan sa pinas pag walang pera matuto n lng tayo n mabuhay with the pain at pilantod n pag lalakad. I was blessed n makapag trabaho dito sa Canada, naoperahan ng libre, naka pag asawa ng napakabait at supportive tulad ni Gregg. Now nakakahike n ako ng matataas n bundok at d n ako pilantod . Hhello po. As a Nurse, parang di naman po namin naaral na ang hip replacement would severe your situation, actually here po sa US first option lalo stage 3 na eh hip replacement. It doesn't have bad reputation kaya di ko po alam sinong Doctor nagsabi nun. I directly work din po sa inventor ng hip replacement and patent sya at nakakaginhawa sya sa mga may chronic pain. Highly reco po ng Doctors sa US ang hip replacement tho you will have restrictions na pero ang goal nyan is to give you back your life ng walang pain na. Good thing you listened to your instinct and true po yun, we are our own Doctor. Pain is subjective at tayo lang nakakaalam ng nararamdaman natin. Praying for you fast recovery

Hi Ms. Angelica! I'm a PT here in the US and an avid follower po ng channel nyo. I always see hip replacement patients and trust me, you can go back to your life with quality after surgery. Ingatan nyo lang po ma-blood clot, ma-dislocate ung left hip and infection. Always do physical therapy until they discharge you. Grabe kasinungalingan nung dati mong dr sayo. Ika nga, baka me pa-project c Dok kaya un muna pinagawa sayo. And ur right. Walang quality of life kung manatili kang in pain for the next 5 yrs. Always walk and ex. I feel you Ate Angge! Naka ilang doctors din po ako bago KO nakita yung doctor na nag operate sakin. Ang difference Lang is before COVID po ako na diagnose and last year July Lang ako na operahan. Also I was 55 when I had my double hip replacement. My operation lasted for 9 hrs Kasi they had to repair my pelvic bone and andami na daw fibrosis. But like yours, after operation the only problem I had was wearing diapers Kasi nagka rashes ako. But pain from the operation wala po, dko alam Kung manhid ako but wala po talaga akong pain na naramdaman. Umuwi nga ako biogesic Lang binigay na pain reliever sakin, na diko Naman nainom. Sipag Lang po talaga SA rehab, Sabi Ng Dr KO mga 6 months daw pero natapos KO Siya in 6 weeks. Tapos every other day pa Yun. Nailalakad KO na Ng 2kms after 6weeks SA kalasada SA labas. In no time makaka balik Ka na SA usual routine mo. I do exercise everyday, may MGA bawal like magbuhat Ng mabigat but I've settled napo and tama po kayo, Di katapusan Ng buhay pag nagpa double hip replacement. It has given me hope and my self confidence back. And in no time I pray that you'll feel the same po!

Here in Canada, hip replacement is just common. And tama ka Ms. Angelica, may solution ang sakit mo kasi yung mga nagundergo ng hip replacement dito went back to their normal life after the surgery. I'm praying for your quick recovery. I just had a hip replacement surgery last July lang din because of an accident and broke my right femur neck. I was so devastated kasi ang dami dami kong kailangan gawin, I am an animal rescuer and ang daming umaasa sakin tapos naaksidente pa. Not to mention the hospital bill. I was so scared na baka hindi ko na magawa mga kailangan at gusto kong gawin. Before surgery grabe anxiety, iniisip ko baka hindi na ako magising, baka magka complication, etc (knowing na may heart issue din na nakita sakin). I'm only 47 and my mom passed away at 47 of aneurism so isip ko baka ako din. Day after surgery I was able to walk already though parang mas mahaba na yung operated leg😆. Few days after surgery everyday atake panic attacks but somehow my furbabies helped calm me down. Now on my 3rd month post op, I can do pretty much whatever I want, went back to woodworking na din and parang pumantay na din legs ko, haha. hindi na mas mahaba yung operated leg. May pain pa din and stiffness but tolerable na than nung first 2 months. I had only 4 sessions of PT but after that, since mahal per session sa PT, ako na lang gumagawa ng mga excercises sa bahay. Super malaking tulong din na nag join ako sa Hip replacement recovery page sa FB kasi dami kong natutunan from other people who went thru the same procedure, tama yung sinabi mo na for others, hip replacement is a blessing and nag improve yung quality of life nila, lalo na mostly are elderly. Nalaman ko na normal lang pala mga nararamdaman ko and hindi talaga ganun kadali ang recovery once you had a hip replacement. it will take 6months to even a year...or more. basta sabi lang sakin take it one day at a time.

Hip and Knee replacements are a very common surgery here in England. It's really not a big deal to go or not as long as you're body says so and you're medically fit to undergo surgery. Hello Ms Angelica. Physical Therapist po ako dito sa America and I used to work sa PGH and st Luke’s before. I was saddened when you mentioned about misleading facts about Total Hip Replacement. Advanced na po ngayon and tama lahat ng research nyo po based from my experience din na the prosthesis now lasts for 20 yrs Basta tamang alaga din. May mga patients nga ako with AVN and Total hip replacement agad sila Minsan young age pa. Youngest patient ko was 15. Strengthening of muscles lang po Dapat tuloy tuloy and you’ve got a new hip. Congratulations po and praying for your recovery. You absolutely made the right choice this time. When I was watching your first few procedures, nagtaka na ako why not hip replacement kesa dumaan pa sa mga ganon. Yün pala, you were advised din and possibly those doctors based it from their experience but it was somehow misleading Kaya you were scared sıguro to do the replacement. God bless po! Sana lahat ng husband gaya ni Sir Greg! Ingat po!❤

I'm a nurse and I work in an area specializing in replacement. We normally advised not to cross your legs, put a pillow in between your legs whilst in bed, not allowed to bend down para Hinde ma dislocate yung hip mo. Early mobilization is better. The more you walk it get easier 4 weeks of Enoxaparin and TED stocking to prevent clots.

I've been a fan of Ate Angge for almost 13 years and I am really sad that she had to go through something like this but I believe that she's a great warrior. Hi ! I want to tell you that I just had a double hip surgery last year Feb. 9 , 2023 . And, I thank God for having it done - cause I am pain free and back to my old self again . I also had it there in St. Luke’s with an excellent doctor - Dr. Kokseng !!! I would highly recommend it . I was 73 last year , and I wanted to get it over with so decided to do it on both hips . It was difficult for awhile - but, now I am super ok ! I am sure you will be too since you seem to be very young !

Hi Angel kasama mo ako sa pain mo. While watching your vlog i was doing my physio for my frozen shoulder. I’ve had an steriod injection a week ago dahil sobrang sakit na talaga ng balikat ko. Not a single day na wala akong pain.Since 2012 pa ako suffering from pain due frozen shoulder. Your surgery motivate me na magphysio . Pareho tayo hindi rin ako makatulog sa side puro sleeping on my back lang kasi masakit kapag natulog ako sa both side. I am avoiding surgery kaya kailangan talaga magphysio. Get well soon sa iyo and keep going and motivate others who’s in the same situation na may dinaramdam din na sakit na tulad ko. Kung kaya mo kaya ko rin. ❤🇬🇧
