When I saw your stack of tags etc. With ephemera on them, I thought: what a lucky woman you are Gayle, handfuls of joy bringing things! I am inspired, envious, and happy for you all at once.

Oh Gayle - It’s so lovely to hear you talk about what a lovely time you had at your retreat and it’s just as lovely to have you back!!! You’re kicked many goals whilst there and found many treasures. Bless Betsy and her generous soul!!! How lovely that she came to your rescue and shared some of her treasures with you to create digitals for us to use. Sending her many blessings in return!!! Some people just make your soul smile!!! I love all your retreat creations but, most of all, I love hearing the bubbles in your voice as you recall all the fun you’ve had!!! Welcome home lovely lady!!! TFS!!! Big hugs, Sharon 🌷💕

Found it! Broderie anglaise (French, "English embroidery", pronounced [bʁɔdʁi ɑ̃ɡlɛz]) is a whitework needlework technique incorporating features of embroidery, cutwork and needle lace that became associated with England, due to its popularity there in the 19th century

@@hayleyclague6504 I’m in the uk too. One thing that made the 9+ hour flight to in-laws in the uk were the craft shops...LOVED them. My ex’s mom did crafts too, so she knew the best places to go. She asked me to join her in a craft meet up she went to locally. I ended up being roped into teaching part of it 😂 naughty, I know without a work permit. They weren’t charged tho 😄 My own mum is absolutely not into crafts at all. She doesn’t even get excited by craft shops 🙄 Who doesn’t love an order of beads arriving, then later sorting them by colour and put in my correct colour plastic divider things. It appeals to the Aspergers part of me 😂 Sometimes I’m a bit cautious to sell things because if I ask any of my family I’m lucky if I show them something & they look and day yeah, it’s ok🤷🏼♀️I don’t know about all of you, but sometimes I get a bit of a lack of confidence in things I’ve made. Then I could do with an honest reaction, either say it’s awful or yeah it looks good, I think someone might buy that.

Oh my gosh, Donna! It was embarrassing and a hoot all at the same time! I unscrewed the plate under the needle and my quilter friend cleaned it out with a brush (apparently for sewing machines...who knew?). After she was finished, I had to clean the brush with Dawn dish soap! Lol! 😂. Yep, there was a small animal when she was done! Ugh! 🤢. I might have to try doing it more often....or not! 😂❤️

These are all very pretty. Love, love the Flower Alphabet paper. The Rose's are so, so beautiful !!! Love the journal cover. I've made my 1st one its from a heavier purple print with apples, berriesand grape clusters. I made fabric clusters to decorate it. Your slow stitch cover is beautiful. I love it. You give me good ideas for more journals that need their covers finished. Thank you so much !! I love the lavender papers. I have a lilac pack and a lavender one. I loved the lavender so much that I bought a second one to make more pockets, tucks and belly bands to fill the lavender journal and other pieces from that paper. The quilt that you shared is beautiful. It made me immediately think of my book that teaches how to embroider flowers with silk ribbon. The ones I've made are stunning and would look awesome on these covers. Have you watched Sonya Stepto's slow stitched fabric covers ? They are magnificent. She is so talented !!!!

SO HAPPY to hear you are out and about the living again. Although with your health concerns I understand your reluctance to venture out too far. I'm completely happy not to craft with you as long as you are enjoying your life again. You brought me to tears hearing about you finally reunite with your family again after such a long time not being together. NOTHING replaces the human touch. I'm a retired nurse and felt comfortable seeing my granddaughter 3 times during the situation (July 2020, Oct. 2020 and again this Easter). I couldn't stop touching them. There is reliable medical research about skin hunger...the need to touch and be touched. Anyway just wanted to let you know I'm so glad you are out and about again...even though we may not see you on your channel from time to time. Live your life safely...but get out of that basement...lol❣

Oh, Gayle, it looks like you had such fun. I'm sure it was a pleasure to craft all day and not make any videos! The journals are great! I am so in love with the 49 and Market lines. You will have fun with those paper pads. Also, the Sanctuary line...so yummy. I have some frayed strips in my shop from that line. Adding a few bee-themed strips soon that are so fun. I just need time to play with them myself. I was in South Texas with my sisters while you were on your retreat. We hit a quilt shop in Buda that left me drooling and lusting for some amazing fabrics. Fabric and paper. I never have enough. I told my sisters that all that gorgeous fabric makes me hungry. Ann laughed at me.

Hi Gayle! At least for me😉 Second, glad you're back in one piece! Third, OMG! Your TNs are a-maaaaa-zing! I made 2 while you were gone, they really are fun to make! I sat here oooooing and aaaahing when you opened those old books up. Wow! It will be interesting to see your digitals when you get them done. You said you weren't interested in the portraits, but if you down sized them quite a bit they would look good in a small busy frame or on a stamp! Or as an oval like a cameo! There's lots of stuff you can do with heads like that, so I hope you include some in your digitals. Well, that's all from me, see you tomorrow! 🥰🖐♥️
