Great job into your adventures in gelli-ing lol. Fun, addicting and messy are the most common adjectives I hear for this pastime 😂. You have such a creative way of turning different elements into interest for your projects. I love the blue, I wanna lean purple, but again I'm thinking yellow. Tough decisions, ya know! Take care.

Thank you! That's the order I like them, too, hehe. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment!

The distress paints are designed to be water reactive so they’re runnier than your average acrylic paint, that’s why you’re getting that separation on the plate when applying directly to it without mixing with the white you have there. And yes less is more on the gelli plate! Lol hope that helps!

I have wanted to play with a geli-plate, but I have yet to do so. I enjoyed your honest learning journey with such beautiful outcomes. In order, my favorites are the purple, then a deadlock tie. I honestly can not decide between the gold and blue for very different reasons and seasons! Thank you so very much for sharing. Oh, question: Do you know if pops of color can be used on gel plates?

thank you, Shauna! I haven't tried it yet, but I don't see why not?

Distress paints aren't normal acrylic paint and as such don't work on a gelli plate. Try regular heavy bodied acrylic paint. Distress paint has zero fillers and is a different beast....way different from regular acrylic paint. You shouldn't have to put white down or wait for it to dry with regular acrylic paint. You'll have such an easier time with any regular craft paint, distress paint is just not meant for gelli plate. You can do so , much with distress paint that you can't do with regular acrylic paint tho, I recommend watching Tim Holtz video on it.
