Faye if you want pants your length,just get them taken up. Im 5'7 and I actually even pants that are too long!! I just either sew them up myself, or get them taken up at a seamstress. There are some stores..where they sell pants with varying lengths, maybe Kmart? I know online there is sort length, average and tall. I just cant remember where I saw it?! Wow those Japanese sweets looked deliisshhh

I kinda do something similar. When I get my jeans / slacks taken up I keep the chopped off material. I can use this later as a patch if I need to.
