How wonderful being together as a family. I am in love with your grandparents Raya, I love the way they live off the land and work very hard to reap the benefits of their gardens and preserve the food for the winter months. The dinner and all the wonderful food looked amazing. Loved the way you said it's like being home .... it is home and I saw a touch of emotion.Louis, your parents are as sweet and gentle as you are. I loved watching Raya in her homeland. It reminds me of my visits in turkey and how everything reminds me of something. How amazing that you all seton one table and had a nice meal and great time together. I love these simple fresh salads with cucumber and tomatoes from that area. I totally get what Raya means with they taste extra fresh. It’s because the fruits grew up in so much sunshine and with so much love and also they let the salad taste simple by putting just little fresh oil, lemon and salt in it, so you can fully taste the goodness of these amazing vegetables. ❤️

Hey Raya and Louis!! I am also from Bulgaria but have lived around Europe and the US for the past 15+ years. It always baffles me when I see other people from Bulgaria being almost embarrassed by their origins and country. Sure, there are so many things to be done and worked on in Bulgaria, but the same goes for each and every other country I’ve lived in. I am so happy and thankful to see the way you talk and represent our country. Oh my goodness, ALL THE PEPPERS!!!! By a slight fluke last year (thanks pandemic gardening and plant sales at local stores lol) we have a TON of productive banana pepper plants here in so are always trying to find ways to use them! Definitely will try pickling them ASAP!
