Back in Taiwan : Life as a Taiwanese American mix.
I'm happy to have the opportunity to interview Oceana this time. She is fluent in both Chinese and English and has recently returned to Taiwan for study and work. Everyone has their own unique background and story, but I'm curious about Oceana experiences living in different countries. I wonder how her experiences have shaped her personality traits. Loved this interview! She's gorgeous and very relatable. Shared the same experience as a Taiwanese-American, born and spent my childhood in the US, grew up and studied in Taiwan from elementary until end of high school, then came back to the US for college, medical school and on. Still visit Taiwan 1-2 times every year. Taiwan is home and half of my identity❤

Oceana 應該是目前為止頭腦最清楚的來賓，她的中英文口音都很標準，說話客觀又有條理，和之前的訪問比起來，這集算是最言之有物的。 In-N-Out 可以客製化，薯條可要求炸脆一點，下次點餐的時候記得說 Light Well。

Oceana is such a gorgeous lady! Best of luck on the international beauty pageant. 我住美國30年，在加州20年，基本上，絕大部分加州人都認為，In n out 不管漢堡或薯條，在新鮮度和美味上都完勝麥當勞, 因為in n out的薯條，是新鮮馬鈴薯，當場切條當場炸的，牛肉從是in n out自己的屠宰場出來，完全沒有經過冷凍，新鮮現煎的，反觀麥當勞薯條和漢堡，全部都是冷凍過的。

絕大多數美國西部人都偏好In-N-Out 美東人則似乎較喜歡Shake Shake 每個人的味蕾感受不同，沒有絕對的好壞啦⋯⋯

Micky Ds fries are great when they're still piping hot right out of the fryer. In N out fries are... just... different 😂 I hear that they're using a specific species of potatoes (Kinnebec?) 🥔 that are only grown by one farm (their own?) hence why it's so different from everyone else's. I'm with Oceana, I think In n out's fries are great (but only once a month please 😂).

Chick-til-A waffle fries are the best of the fast foods, hands down. I’ve noticed McDonald’s is different in different countries, e.g. in Germany the burgers are way better than in U.S. and their hot apple pies taste more like a strudel. Jay and many commenters seem very smitten with Oceana. Obviously she’s beautiful, well-spoken as in, can carry the conversation herself if she had to. Good interview as usual, Jay!

Thank you. The waffle fries are second to none. I remember years ago I brought an ex down to VA Beach and she kind of lost it having Chick-fil-A's waffle fries for the first time. And yes, McDonald's tastes better in every country I've been to outside the US.
