You’re one of the best ambassadors to Japan- they should pay you in gold for these beautifully thought out, amazingly directed, paced and edited videos! I just discovered your channel as well!

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! 😊

@@SolLife_ Superbly executed videos, very interesting, amazingly written (not redundant, not minimalist to the point of confusion- just right- and that takes talent), editing, sound design, camera flow, framing, color- and the overall pacing (which is what 99% of all creators struggle with) is just right, beautifully, tastefully balanced. videos, and especially videos about Japan bore me to death very quickly; I lose interest or start yawning… they tend to be superficial, immature, trite, cliché- yours are awesome! Bravo! It’s a great example of how you can project the beauty of every-day life in Japan, whilst maintaining tasteful levels of artistic freedom and integrity! This is what separates “mere” content creators from true artists - other content creators (of any subject and topic) can certainly take some notes from how you do it
@SolLife_3 ай бұрын
Thank for the sweet words! 🥺 pacing is definitely the hardest part to get right so I’m happy to hear this! 🥰❤️
@NoctisAquila3 ай бұрын
@@SolLife_ You got this! There’s skill and practice- and than there’s natural artistic talent- which you posess! Oh and because now your videos are part of my daily routine- I knew you were a filmophile - the way you walk through your favorite movie locations- is exactly what true film lovers/makers do! I would’t be surprised if you studied cinema- I do know that this type of artistic sensibility is highly seeked after- in all areas of content creating- If I were a Minister of Tourism or anything similar that I wanted to showcase/advertise/promote- I’d pay real good money and try to throw in as many interesting perks trying to persuade someone with this type of sophisticated talent to come work for me! There are 3 content creators on yt I could give such praise to- one is a Canadian guy who makes amazing shorts about space-related topics (mostly), another one is coincidentally also Canadian making insightful videos about zoning and similar topics in Tokyo, Japan- and there’s you!
@NoctisAquila3 ай бұрын
@@SolLife_ Oh and your framing is superb 🤌 especially outside in environments you clearly have no control over- very impressive! When done right, it looks so smooth and efortless- but it’s anything but! It’s not contrived either, just organic and seemingly simpe! And, again, that is what true visual artistic talent is all about!

Hello Sol, I'm delighted that you're spending this month in Japan. Your flat is really great and I'm thinking of taking one just like it when I go to Japan. The practical side of having everything already there. I really liked the nezu shrime shrine and I'm thinking of going there when I'm there. I love places like that. I also really enjoyed the sanja festival, the festive atmosphere is really superb. It really makes you want to go. Thank you for sharing, it's good to see Japan again through your videos. Have a nice day, Alain.

Your vlogs are just such a cure for my longing for Japan. :) I went last November / December and it seems already like forever, but your videos capture the beauty and unique atmosphere so wonderfully it feels like taking a trip back here and there. I also had an absolutely lovely time in Kusatsu which I purely put on the itinerary because of your video. Thank you so much for your hard work and taking us with you, it's really a gift. ❤

Ohhhh, I just love, love, love Japan and all its traditions, the festive mood was transmitted through the screen.😄 Thank you so much, Sol, it's always a delight to see Japan and South Korea through your eyes. You notice beauty everywhere, that's such a rare and wonderful quality. And yes, I know that feeling as if some parts of your heart are left in different countries and cities. You're always missing some places or some people in another corner of this world. It's just how it is....🥺 Already curious about your next videos!!🤗🎉✨🎆

"Latte" means "milk", not a coffee beverage. The correct name is like what you see at 21:05 a "caffè latte" is when you add coffee to the latte/milk. That's why a matcha latte or a strawberry latte doesn't have coffee; it's just a latte/milk with matcha or strawberry, respectively. So many countries use the term "latte" incorrectly. It comes from Latin "lac". That's why it's "leche, leite, lait", etc. in other Romance languages. They're all spelled similarly.

You were the first vlog channel I've actually ever watched, and I was looking through some others, and I was surprised at the difference you offer with yours! It feels like in comparison, many times you stay on each shot for longer than a lot of the other channels I've seen, and it really allows people to look at more than one thing in the shot, and really feel like they're there in the moment when it goes at the pacing you've set. I also really appreciate the unique angles you choose, like sometimes even having the camera watching something through a reflection like a mirror or phone screen. It's very movie-esque :) It's a really special nuisance you have with your video direction and choices. :) Anyway, just wanted to say thanks again and to keep doing everything you're doing because it's wonderful!
