Can't beat a 29er - great rolling along on those big wheels. Top notch as usual Ben, and the PN lunch was just the doodahs 💪🏻😁 *navigation could use a little work 😉 Cheers, Paul 🙏🏻

Hi Paul, aye it’s a much better bike than my 1990’s Emmelle Cougar! 😂. I was really looking forward to that single track descent, it was right in front of my eyes as it turned out, I think the heat was getting to me 😅. Atb mate 👍

I was an outdoor instructor 20 years ago up near Aviemore leading bike trips and such. Got on my bike 20 years later and realised the old razer blade saddle on my fancy freeride bike doesn't do well with a 45 year olds arse. Within 5 minutes I was swapping cheeks. lol how I ever lead groups on that saddle I'll never know.

You didn't pick any magic mushrooms to go in that pot noodle did you? Don't get lost on the moors mate, you know what happens 🤣. Nice bike set up though. Cheers Ben.

Magic mushrooms would’ve made that pot noodle more exciting mate, although I have to admit they are pretty good once in a while! (the noodles not the shrooms 😂). Bike is great, need to work on my hill climbing fitness a bit though; was blowing a bit if I’m honest. Take care mate 👍

Didn’t your map leave a bread crumb trail so you know where you have been
@Adventure-Outdoors Жыл бұрын
Yes! The problem with this unit is that the trail you are following shows up in purple and obscures the breadcrumb trail which shows as a light blue. I got back to the car and was able to see straight away where I went wrong once I stopped the navigation. Although the OS map for the area is entirely inaccurate, lots of the sign posted bridleways and footpaths aren’t on the map at all!

I’ve got a similar bike, Specialized hard rock 29er, had it for quite a few years now, brilliant bike, not yet moved onto an E-bike, been pretty tempted to be honest, what phone mount are you using? Is it anti shock & vibration?
@Adventure-Outdoors Жыл бұрын
Hi Ray, yeah they’re great bikes. The E-bikes look tempting, especially for the uphill sections but man they’re expensive. The phone mount is a Quad Lock, here’s the link www.quadlockcase.co.uk/collections/shop-cycle?tw_source=google&tw_adid=&tw_campaign=19689460238&gclid=CjwKCAjwjOunBhB4EiwA94JWsMD-JKeZyLYdIqDn8gBlAyWO8rwLB_dJ6FdExpEFaYEYh-ByQfz7dRoCZGUQAvD_BwE

They’re a bit pricey but really solid.

@@Adventure-Outdoors thanks Ben, much appreciated, I knew it was going to be the quadlock, I’ve been looking at that one for ages but keep putting off buying it, one annoying thing is having to change the case every time you change your phone, I normally change my phone every 2 years. Think I’ll just bite the bullet and buy one, nice having it next to the Garmin 😊
