Back in January of 2020, we had the opportunity to buy two old hot rods from the estate of Larry Schroll. This 1932 Ford 5 Window was bought by Larry in the 1960s and unfortunately he never got it on the road. We spent 2 years getting the car back on the road, and the last few summers driving it all over! Today's video is a condensed build on what we call The Schroll Coupe. If you would like so see the full build the playlist is below with all 46 episodes!!

Good to see a period correct example from the late 50s in the East Coast style, (channeled, but not chopped), now back on the road! Happy you are keeping it true to the original vibe for two reasons: first, I had the exact '32 model coupe many years ago as a kid, and two, I've had the same Olds/Cad- LaSalle combo. in my '36 cpe, from that time period (@ 1960)! Does my old heart good to see your generation enthused about the Old School days. Keep the vibe alive. Best to you and the crew in the New Year!

Because it took place over so many videos it is easy to forget how much work goes into a perfectly shitty restoration. so much time and effort are spent on things that most people will never see. Thanks for putting that video together it was eye opening. Happy New Year

Thank you for this amazing channel. My father would've loved this channel. He was a hot rodder from the late fifties too the early sixties. He attended Vale tech in Blairsville Pa and worked as a mechanic and body man for his entire life. Your channel revives many of his hot rod stories of the past.

LOVE the work you did on the Schroll 5-window coupe! It truly is an original from back in the day, when the best builders really sweated the details. The only thing I'd like to see is see how it would look raised slightly in the rear to give it a bit of rake...??

Great job and work on saving this special piece of history, it's very appreciated 👍.

The Schroll Coupe turned out to be one of the best examples of a period-correct "hot rod" still alive today. The only parts that are not authentic are the upgrades you did in the name of safety. Most hot rods from this period are super-sketchy when it comes to secure welding, proper bracing, and the use of adequately designed materials in the construction and modifications to the chassis... We didn't always pay a lot of attention to those little details. I always hated those deep-dish mid-1950s steering wheels, but they were extremely popular back in those days. This old classic is a fantastic testimony to your shop's skills and attention to detail in bringing these old warriors in out of the cold and the rust of oblivion, and making sure they will be around for future generations to look over and see the early days of the sport with some of its warts still exposed...

I met Marty a few years ago when they were in business. I was having a 33 Dodge axle done. When he retired he couldn't find anyone interested in taking over the business. That was too bad.
