Ok good, I’m not the only one that has a husband that can’t wait for his food to cool down before he shovels it into his mouth lol Kelsey’s expression while watching Cody eat is so funny
@CJ_Carpenter11 ай бұрын
It's best when it's hot and fresh, I do the same thing.
@lepus651111 ай бұрын
I used to eat like that and then I realized how embarrassing it is for people around me. Especially if you're like talking with someone over a meal and then they have to sit and wait for you to respond while you're just shoveling food down lol. And you're like burning yourself and panting and complaining every bite "oh god this so hot" to whoever you're with but you still keep shoveling lmao. I'd take a bite and then drink a sip of water to cool it down in my mouth sometimes. My dog has better manners lol. Lost some weight from slowing down too. Keeps me from going past the point of being full without noticing.

Sometimes hard to believe that THE Cody Ko feels unmotivated and down and has negative self talk telling him he’s pathetic. But it is somehow so comforting to know that even if you seem to have it all, it’s still normal to have those feelings. Thank you for sharing these parts of you with us! Choo choo!!!!

Cody, you won't see this, but you should run the Backbone Trail from West to East. Its an incredibly good challenge to aim for. Its an absolute savage and in your back yard. There are many road crossings so you could easily set up DIY aid stations.

LA trail runner here - mountain lions are keenly aware of people on trail and make sure they are unseen. they want nothing to do with humans. they are also typically only active at night. rattlesnakes are much more abundant threat, so always keep an eye out for nope ropes across the trail.
@colbunkmust11 ай бұрын
Statistically, in North America, there occurs about 1.25 attacks per year for the past 100 years by mountain lions, with a 20% fatality rate, so the likelihood of being attacked is small, but it is completely inaccurate to make a blanket statement stating that mountain lions want "nothing to do with humans". The last fatality from a mountain lion in CA was in 2004 in Orange County when a 35 yr old mountain biker was trying to fix his chain. The two most recent mountain lion fatalities were in 2018 in WA and OR. It's also inaccurate to assume mountain lions are only active at night, most attacks on humans occur during daytime hours.
@vogelvrouw11 ай бұрын
Nice, replace his fear of mountain lions with a fear of rattlesnakes lmao

Also, in the case of a Mountain lion encounter it is important to NOT run, better to stand tall with your arms and make loud noises.

Speaking of ultras, have you heard of the Backyard Ultra? It’s an ultramarathon where runners have to complete a 4.167 mile lap in less than an hour, and the laps repeat every hour. And they just keep going until only one person remains. The winners can end up doing sometimes 200+ miles, but most people join to try and get 24 loops, which equals about 100 miles. Could be a cool challenge one day!
