I have the rhinox ripper tooth. It also has the reinforced tip. If you can get it in a crack in concrete it will lift it up. Ill have to see if it can trench a water line. Works excellent for ripping tree roots. For back filling you can make a leveling bar out of a 5' piece of 8" I beam. Get some bucket ears that fit your machine and weld em to the I beam, done.
@TKCL

You need to weld a plow on top so you can drag the trench bucket better with the dirt being pushed to both sides better. Make it adjustable so you can set the depth you want.

You should get some of that magnetic sensor tape. Basically when you put in underground plumbing or wiring, it’s just a tape that goes over it and they’ve got a thing that’s like a metal detector wand so you can check before you dig and make sure you know you’re not cutting into the lines or the waterand when you do dig you just put it about a foot above your pipe and everything and when you hit the tape, you know you’re close
@TKCL

I see people do that and or caution tape.

Thank You. I would have run directly to the pump & not to the closest water source. I also would have upsized the pipe to 1 1/2 in because of such a long run. The lose of water volume per minute or gallons per minute of water flow that great of distance from pump. I know the cost of PVC would be about 33% more but you would be happy! Thank you again, and I like the new attachment!! KUTGW

@TKCL thank you..pressure would be the same. The volume output per minute would be more if you upsize for such a long distance.. Something to think 🤔 about when to want to run a new line to the food plot.. Feel free to talk to a professional plumber about water resistance in such a long run with 1 inch verse 1 1/2 pipe.. Have a great rest of your day & see you in the next video or live stream!!😀😉

You need to use primer before the glue on pressurized water lines
@TKCL
@TKCL 4 күн бұрын
That is not entirely true and only required in certain situations or if your local code requires it. Per Florida plumbing code AND per Oatey glue instructions on the back of the can. Primer is not required for up to 2 inch pressurized pvc or 4 inch drain pvc if using a quality glue that meets ASTM 2564 standards. I've never once in over 40 years experienced a joint failure with just glue.

@@TKCL In AL its code inspector will fail ya here
@TKCL
@TKCL 4 күн бұрын
I understand that, but that doesn't make it code everywhere else. Each state and each county all have their own set of rules, it's really frustrating. I have a feeling Florida isn't the only state that honors this, or Oatey wouldn't take time to print it on their cans of glue.
@theElderberryFarmer

Just curious - why use PVC rather than a roll of black polly pipe or pex? I know I'd try to avoid all of the bend-over labor of gluing up all of the joints. Take care and God Bless.

@TKCL 4 күн бұрын
Just not common here, I've seen people use it online.
@markschuette869
@markschuette869 5 күн бұрын
Curious. Why didn't you use 1" black poly pipe by the roll and minimize your couplings that could fail in the future? It could also be cheaper cost of materials. And remember even if you do it, you should still account for your labor cost. 300' roll of poly would take less than 1/4 of the time to install. Just a thought. Do like the looks of the trencher bucket. Happy Trails!!

@markschuette869 5 күн бұрын
@@jp34604 I'm sorry but you missed my point! I wasn't complaining about the tool. Matter of fact I think it did a great job and would be a good investment. I was talking about the choice of pipe that Andrew used. A single roll of black poly pipe would have been a lot easier and cheaper to install than all of those glue joints every 10 ' and you minimize the chance of those joints coming apart in the future. Black poly is a bit more flexible and forgiving than pvc. Pvc can get a bit brittle over a long time. (a decade or 2). Read my first comment again!!
