Back to Basics: Using an Instance Scheduler to Control Amazon EC2 and Amazon RDS Resource Costs

Customers often run into instances where they would like to stop GPU intensive EC2 instances outside of business hours every day to reduce operational cost or want to stop test RDS instances outside of a testing phase. In this episode, Bhavisha walks you through how to control cost of your Amazon EC2 and RDS instances by either deploying your own solution using individual services or using a pre-built solution called Instance Scheduler from AWS Solutions Library.

Why you will require dynamo db over here as event bridge has the Cron schedule and achieve the same ..

Dynamodb is required to specify the information such as begin and end time of schedule. Days to run, etc..
