Just came upon this. I've stayed in Buxton for several years now. I typically stay in September after the busy season. The vibe of the village is just perfect if you are looking to turn "off" the outside world for a week or two. I've stayed in Zen Den multiple times. Wonderful house. And how a 'bout a big shout out to Conner's Supermarket. Wonderful, family owned grocery store. Oh yeah, I've watched this about 5 times in a row now with a smile on my face. At 3:00 minute mark you can see two light blue beach houses...Surfer Girl and Mermaids Rest...my family has rented both in recent years. Surf fishing right out front has been great at times in the fall, but recent beach replenishment has filled in the drop offs and sloughs that used to attract fish. Hurricane Dorian and the current storm Melissa have now eroded that beach right up to the houses...dont know if there's any beach left.
