Shame about the GoPro mate! I put mine on the front of the helmet. It avoids trees and I've also found it gives the best POV, especially if you can position it upside down. Glad you got some Japow in! I headed to Niseko/Rusutsu for a couple of weeks early Feb, best snow we've ever had there!

Yeah I think I need to try do this! Do you attach directly on the front of the helmet and tilt it back to get the angle? I was in Niseko just after this also. Was all time! Stoked you got it good. There really is nothing better :)

@PatriotFootbeds I have a smith vantage so the front slopes back slightly. I have to use one of the j shaped mounts (the one that looks like a hook) then a couple of small straight connectors to get the gopro into the right viewing position, upside down. Your helmet looks like it has a nice vertical front face, so you should be able to get the angle a bit easier, possibly without the J mount. Takes a bit of mucking around, but once you get it, it works really well! If you want, I can send you a photo of my mount solution when I get back home on Monday?

Did you do the tree run under the interlink lift between kitanomine and Furano zone? That's an excellent spot that is very quiet
@PatriotFootbeds Жыл бұрын
Have looked at that zone going up the chair, but haven't skied it yet. Mainly ducking out the top gates. Looks great through there with a few drops and not many skiing in there! Does it all outrun towards the old prince hotel area?

I only skied it back to the Interlink chair. I didn't ask a local where that route going right of the chair downhill would take oneself.

Hello, I'm new to skiing and will be headed to Furano this December and I've been doing some research on what to wear skiing. Based on your experience of the weather, is a shell jacket with a couple of layers and thermal underneath enough to keep warm? Or is an all-in-one ski jacket better for someone like me with no experience? What would you recommend? Really enjoyed the video btw:)
@PatriotFootbeds Жыл бұрын
Great! I hope you have an amazing time. Furano is awesome! Yeah I think you would be happy either way. As long as you layer up enough as it can get very cold there. The jacket I am wearing in this video is a 3 in 1. With an inner puffer jacket. I would just wear 1 thermal under this and be very comfortable. When I wear purely a shell jacket, I would usually layer with a merino shirt then merino thermal then midlayer grid fleece or similar. I hope that helps.

@@PatriotFootbeds Thanks for the information it sure did help! Btw what jacket were you wearing in the vid? Any particular products that are good?
