We've been using one of these to record church services for the past 10 years. The HDMI stopped working on our 1st one so replaced w/the same exact model I we got at a steal vs "upgrading" as it is excellent for all the reasons you mentioned as well as Low Light! Only 1 color profile so It doesn't do well with very high contrast scenes. (That is if you want detail in all the highlights & shadows.) However one does have a bit of control over Contrast & Color Saturation (-2 to +2, whatever that means) so you can create your own slightly wider dynamic range.

Looking at this on my 30" Screen. I'd give the sharpness a 9/10 ! 🤓 The picture is a bit green due to the foliage around you but you have the Custom White Balance option. We are using one of these for streaming church services. Good Low Light capability as well.

I think it still holds up in video quality! Full disclosure: I payed top dollar back in 2012 for this camera so of course I'm going to say that... lol

It has a nice soft kinda look compared to the hard and harsh digital dslr. Do we need to see every pore on someone’s face?

I got one recently too finally. Been want one since 2013 so bad. People seem to be losing the mic holder for it a lot though so I'm gonna get one separate so I can use a real shotgun again instead of that rode thing this guy has on.
